Low profile but good & stable.
I have it for a fortnight and never had any wifi drop since which is a known problem with Virgin Hub3. The establishment was an easy job with no configuration needed on this router (I had to set the virgin hub up to modem mode first). I trusted the reputation of Belkin so I could get a decent router for what I needed without spending too much.

Fairly ok router, less so firmware wise
Range is ok, good speeds. I have concrete walls between rooms so only 2.4ghz goes through one or two before dropping completely. Firmware is bare bones, lacking basic features. Will be looking to change that soon.

Good cheap wifi 6 router
Not sure why this doesn't have many stars. Got this for £25 which is even cheaper than a wifi 5 router. Could max out my internet speed 500 Mbps. Pretty stable. Just make sure you set your 2.4Ghz wifi security to WPA 2 to solve connection issues with old devices or home security devices. Everything is stable after that.

Delivered with wrong OS and WiFi not working
This is not a review about the RT1800 in general but about the RT1800 I actually received. After turning it on I waited a very long time for the WiFi "BelkinXXXXX" to come up, but it didn't come up.I connected a laptop to one of the ethernet jacks. It got IP settings via DHCP - hence *something* must be running on the router. But I could not connect via http or https. No connection.Next thing was to run nmap on the gateway/router address (192.168.1.1) which showed up two open ports: 53 (udp) and 22 (tcp). This was a great surprise. Then I launched the command "ssh [email protected]": I was logged in (without password) and saw an OpenWRT prompt (a snapshot from Dec 2023)!That means that this device was not new and someone tried to install OpenWRT (and failed horribly).I recovered the original firmware by switching to the second flash section and I'm currently testing the router if it is fine. How could it happen that a badly flashed router from a former customer was sent to me as new device?Sorry, because of this I must downvote.UPDATE:After testing the device some time I decided to install the current stable release of OpenWRT because the original OS from Belkin is horrible and misses a lot of options and I had some connection interrupts. The installation and configuration of OpenWRT was quickly done as usual without any issues (Warning: Configuration of OpenWRT requires some "expert level"). With OpenWRT running I have all features available and it runs very reliable.Summary:The stock OS/firmware is horrible and I had some connection issues. With OpenWRT it runs fine, but this is not recommended for novice users.

Poor customer support
This is a great device, but let down by the belkin support. Can't answer basic connection issues, nightmare to get thru to and never call back.

Wasted my prime discount on this hunk of junk
It was incredibly difficult to get all my devices connected to the router when trying to use the advanced features to reserve ip's. Once the devices were all connected it still had problems letting the devices communicate through Alexa. After a day and a half of struggling I finally got almost all of the devices set up. At 3am the router decided to disconnect from the internet forcing me to reset it. After trying to reset it using the reset button it failed to respond so I then did a 30/30/30 hard reset completely undoing all my previous work. Yes it worked well for the 4 hours I actually had it running. To top everything off the only way of contacting a human being within Belkin is by toll call or twitter. You can imagine how enjoyable it is trying to get assistance through tiny tweets. I contacted Amazon, boxed it up and shipped it back. Save yourself the hassle and get something that works with a company that provides real customer support.

Flawless
I had spotty WiFi so I picked one of these up as a temporary measure before fitting a mesh system. It’s been in place for maybe 6 months at this point and I’ve not bothered to buy a mesh system. This is fast and the WiFi range is excellent
