Review: Great book, great value! - Great book from a great writer. Coming from an PHP / Open Source background, I'd alway been a little bit sceptcial of ASP.net, but the strides MS are making in opening in up the environment and making it multi-platform, really piqued my interest. Had a bit of experience with C#, but this took me further and I'm now starting to get to the point where I'm going to create my next web app in .NetCore. The book assumes no real knowledge of C#, but covers the basics. I skipped most of that and dug in to the more meaty bits (starting with custom events / delegates). All my questions were answered, due to the clarity of explanations. I programmed most of the examples using a Mac and then added my files to OneDrive, so that I could continue on my PC. Happy reading. Review: Great discussion of where Microsoft is headed currently - Great discussion of where Microsoft is headed currently. It is oriented at fairly novice programmers and walks at a nice pace though how to program. Thus the book doesn't go into depth on more sophisticated/special purpose functionality. Not the best examples (in comparison to those in the Nutshell series), but a nice clear writing style makes the topics quite understandable. Great book to get started and to piece together the many technologies popping out of Redmond these days!

Non approfondisce nulla
Speravo di avere approfonditi almeno gli argomenti principali o quelli meno comuni. E' un elenco di schermate poco utili e non approfondisce nessun tipo di argomento. Sconsigliato

Conversational Teaching Style
I like his style! Just started reading, but he gets down to business in a conversational education process.
