Not for beginners. Wouldn't hold the yarn.

It's very lightweight and although the handle isn't very thick, it's designed so well that my hand doesn't easy get tired. The metal part is longer than most, strong and smooth; very well made. I'll be buying more of these Tulip crochet hooks in different sizes for other projects.

I purchased the Boyle hook, and being a newbie, it shred my thread a lot while I was learning how to bead crochet. This hook worked a lot better for me.

Love this it’s a great hook these are the only kind of hooks I can use I can crochet for hours use them worth every penny

I have Rheumatoid arthritis and smaller hands, these hooks have shorter handles which make them easy to cradle in my hand. I find I don't have to grip them hard to work with them. The metal hook slides through tight projects wonderfully. I am slowly buying them in all sizes. I love these hooks.
