I read the reviews before buying and some people said it wasn't elastic enough and others were saying it's too elastic. So here's my take.The fibers in the leash are not elastic, but the fibers are braided into the leash, and that braid is what gives it a slight stretch. It's just elastic enough to take the jerky edge off my dog seeing a bunny and going for it.

I've always had a hard time finding the right leash for my small dogs where the metal clip is sturdy but doesn't weight them down because it's too big. The 6ft 1/4" leash is perfect because the clip is strong and reliable but smaller in size than most other leashes. Very happy with the purchase!

I bought 3 - 10 footers. They DON'T have the flimsy foam handles -- which invariable "pinch off" in short order, and are useless. They have a nice big, strong-looking, and smooth-working snap at the end. For $10 you can't go wrong. I'm very pleased with these. Mine are black which seems to be about a buck cheaper than the other colors!

Got this for my three legged who pulls when she hops. I’m concerned she’s going to bust the stitching where the “leather” straps are and she’s going to run wild 🙃 but it’s cheap soooooUpdated review, still going strong!

I bought 2 of these leashes (10ft) for my 2 big dogs. The both pull pretty hard. We walk them everyday and the leashes show no sign of stress or tearing. The fact that they look good is a plus!

This is a very sturdy leash! My dog loves to chew his leash and always manages to destroy them but this one for some reason he doesn’t chew. It’s really nice has a bit of a stretch to it.

After trying so many options , finally a long leash that is lightweight , long enough ( 10 feet ) and works great for my mini chihuahua puppy in 1/4 inches diameter. Besides, it looks really qualitative and quite elegant !

I love this leash and so does my dog. Short leashes mean she pulls all the time. I purchased the 8 foot length and found she pulled far less, able to explore more following her nose wherever it took her within reason. The price is great. I loved the colour and am happy to go on a walk with far less pulling.

I love this leash for dog training. It has a spring to the leash that is both comfortable for the dog and people clients I have. The leashes are also strong enough 1/2" for reactive dogs and light enough for 1/4" smaller breeds. The clip from leash to harness is light enough that it's not dragging down as well. All MayPaw products are very well made. I also have had amazing customer service and I suggest this product to all my clients, many of which love the leash as well. This is a really good quality leash we got because my dogs have chewed through a number of lesser quality leashes. This one seems to be holding up. The exception is the leather cover at the joins Kari has chewed one of those mostly off.
