I have 15 meteres (50 ft) of LED light stripping connected to one charge controller powered by this power supply. No issues at all, though less Amperage chargers were not sufficient.It does get a bit warm, but I keep it on for hours with no issues when it has airflow.

I purchased this and a similar supply to replace analog (heavy transformer type) supplies in use for my kitchen strip LED cabinet lights.They work OK so far, no flicker at all, but may not last long as both are pretty small and get hot. The one rated at 5 Amps is supplying 3.5 A and runs a little too hot for my liking. So I upped this one to a 6 A rating to provide about 4 A. Better, but still runs a little hot. My problem may be whoever installed the lights put the supplies in the cabinets where they suffer insufficient ventilation.

I added in-drawer lighting to my wife’s closet cabinet and the kit I bought didn’t have enough light strip. I ordered more but after adding the kit transformer wouldn’t drive it with the added lights. I found this guy at a very good price and 72 Watts! More than enough to handle the project. TIP: Make sure you determine the total wattage of your lights so you can get the proper transformer.

I'm using these power supplies to power under counter cabinet LED strip lights. It's been a couple of months and so far so good. The lights are drawing close to one amp so the power supplies are not being stressed, which is one of the reasons I chose these units. I'll buy more for an additional lighting project for a display case cabinet.

Updated review. This unit was on a rarely used LED flat light strip 6 feet long that pulled less than 2 watts. It seemed to work fine whenever we used it but it was never left on for long periods of time. The reason for the update is because we left the strip on overnight and it overheated. The fire marshal and insurance inspector both agree that the reason for my house fire was this unit. Evidentially it overheated and burst into flames. Thank God I had insurance, and no one in my house died or was injured. It is my opinion that you are putting your life at risk by using this unit. I am literally homeless because of this device. Please consider this before you purchase this unit.

It was prefect just what we ordered. My under counter led lights went out was lost without my lights. Husband ordered and working like a charm.

The one that came with my lights was very hot and failed quickly. This is maybe half as hot and is still going strong.
