Are these padded on both sides? Also what is a high strength board? you mean they can't bend their fingers? Is this on both sides too?

The hand fits securely inside the mitt. It is lightly padded on both sides. The pad on which the hand rests does not bend but when the flap is down, it allows the hand to breathe. The band around the wrist has velcro, so it is hard for the dementia patient to get loose from it. The high strength board also does not allow the hand to bend, so it prevents scratching. It was highly effective with my mom.

These are the better ones I could find for a loved one, however they need to have a hidden Zipper as patients can rip it off. Please make them with hidden zipper and zipper pull, otherwise the product has good potential.
