I have been using Clairol root touch up for years but I wanted to give this one a try because the dispenser was a clever idea. However, the color doesn't cover my greys as well not does it blend as well as clairols.

The color matched well for my root touch up and was so easy to use. I love that you can dispense only what you need and use the rest the next time you need a touch up. That's been my biggest pet peeve with other touch up products. Great value for the price.

Product: Revlon Root Erase Permanent Hair Color, At-Home Root Touchup Hair Dye - Dark AuburnUse this product for color touchup around the face area where those pesky, wiry gray roots like to show up within a couple weeks after last salon color. This product is a life and money saver. Not only does it cover the grays better than my salon color, but it's super inexpensive (one box lasts me six touchups) and fast to apply.I apply it in a few minutes (maybe 3 mins) and let it stay on for 12 mins after that-- instructions say 5-10, but that doesn't do as well as 12 mins on my wiry, resistant grays -- color comes out a little darker, but that's fine for roots and my dark hair color, the tone is still auburn and doesn't affect my highlights (just looks like natural growth at the root area). Those pesky grays are completely covered and the color stays on permanently. I usually do three touchups between salon trips.While I'm not easy to please about appearance related products, I am happy to take the time to review this one -- it's that good.

First ...I love the color,4R. I also love the ease of application, by this I mean being allowed to use it multiple times.The issue is...Each time I open it, the cap gets inside stuck applicator and comes off with it.Then, I have to figure out how I can remove the STUCK applicator from inside the cap, it's excessively frustrating.Is this a defect?I should not have to fight just to begin the process of opening the package to get it to work correctly.Disappointed.
