It is easy to set up, relatively easy to clean up, and controlling the spray pattern was easy as well. The build quality is really solid which also translates to a bit of weight - but the hose is plenty long so you don't need to move the base around while spraying. It took a little bit of trial and error to get the paint to the right consistency (adding water to latex paint), but I was able to get there - just remember to not start with too much additional water - you can always add more. Definitely recommend wearing ear plugs or some other form of protection because the fan does get loud but that is to be expected. Also would wear protection for your breathing because the paint is truly a fine mist. I got the bottom feed but I will likely also get the gravity feed mechanism in the future as I think it might be a little more comfortable to hold / manipulate the gun for some spraying positions. Shazam youre atomizing ANYTHING. Manufactures used to make these units, but they found it it was much harder to make your own turbine unit without the special 6 stage units they told you need. The ones they had made specially made and price protected by the vacuum motor. I’ve painted my entire life and now own my own Ben Moore paint store. These 4, 5 and 6 stage units are new the past few, five years give or take, turbines have been around for decades, so you figure it out. If you’re still not sure you should probably listen to the ones trying to sell you something. good call! **Q: I am new at HVLP and can't decide between the 2202 siphon feed or the 2203G gravity feed. What would be the reason to one way versus the other?** A: With gravity feed its hard to spray in areas that would need you to tilt the gun under some obstacles. **Q: Is the spray gun a bleeder or non-bleeder type gun?** A: This gun is a non-bleeder, which I prefer. You can pull back the trigger slightly to get some "dust off" air stream, however. **Q: Is there a lot of over spray, could you spray in a finished house?** A: There is not a 'lot' of overspray, but there is always going to be some. I haven't used other types of sprayers (airless or compressor type) but I suspect they are much worse in this regard. A bit noisy, mostly limited to stain and lacquers and other thin finishes (despite them selling larger caps you'd need much more power for). Very spendy (and especially the parts) for something such as this, unless you were using it daily/several times per week to earn money with it. Hose is cumbersome, and other reviews state that the lightweight "whip" offering (also expensive for a plastic hose) doesn't last.
