Great insight in to the making of one if not the best film ever
If you like Casablanca (and if you don't then you clearly don't like movies) this book is essential reading.Learnt loads about the cast and crew and the politics around at the time, not just in Hollywood.

If you want to read about "Casablanca" start HERE.
This is a detailed and thoroughly researched history of the making of one of the worlds most popular films. The original edition of this book was published in 1992 as "Round Up The Usual Suspects", and should serve as an example of how to write a book about Hollywood history. This is a re-issue (with some minor editorial changes) for the sixtieth (2002) anniversary.Years of research, interviews (often contradictory), and documentation, are condensed into a fascinating narrative -- the confusion, chaos, politics (studio and global), and the final outcome, and it's legacy are all covered, and much of it from eye-witness testimony. The only annoying part was recognising so many passage that I had read in other histories derived from this book.
