Ortho Dog and Cat B Gon Dog and Cat Repellent Granules, 2-Pound

I had been waiting for a product like this. It was so easy to use and effective the very first day I put it out. I've had it on my yard over a week and the dogs run from my house. They don't dare go potty in my yard anymore🤣🤣🤣 I was desperate to find something that was natural and not harmful to the environment, my plants, or the animals. I'm an animal lover, but I was getting super disappointed about all my neighbors allowing their dogs to go pee on my bushes. I had to already replace a bush and literally nothing was working. This stuff is magical.

I would give this product zero stars. It does not work at all. I used what I thought (about 1/3 of the product container) would be an appropriate amount for the small area that I wanted the animals repelled. Came back the next day and there was evidence the animals had not been deterred. I used the remaining content on the area. The additional application worked for approximately 2 days. Third day I have evidence of the animals having returned. I would not suggest this product.

Appears to deter cats for approximately one to at most two weeks after liberal application in dry weather. Contrary to manufacturer claims, it completely stops working if area is subject to any water, either from rain or ordinary watering. Of the three chemical treatments that claim to repel cats, this is the only one which has had any noticeable effect. Only three stars because manufacturer claims it continues to work after rain.

**Update** This product seems to be working. We’ve had an incredible amount of rain but my husband is sticking to the once a month schedule. The new grass is still alive and we’ve watched many dogs pass us by on their walks. Husband said if he sees a dog use our grass in between applications he will re-apply but so far, so good.**We received the product as scheduled and used it for the first time yesterday. We are applying it on new sod between sidewalk and street where dogs love to use as a bathroom. Killed all the old grass. Don’t know yet if it will work but applied as directed. Will try to remember to update our review.

I have two cats inside and that never go out. One night sitting in the garage I heard and terrible commotion outside. I got in the house and there was a cat I never seen before. The dang thing jumped at the window screen and tore it up. Now I have screens that go on the outside of the windows and then on the inside of the house I use the ones you pull open and set the window down on ( just to keep my cats from scratching the good screen) . I purchased this and placed it on the edge of the porch where the rotten cat was going to get to the window and have not seen him come close to the house. If you are in need of keeping a stray cat away from your home or stuff I would say pick this up and give it a try you will be glad you did. I love animals but not ones that want to destroy my stuff.

I bought this to keep my outdoor cats from using the garden area in front of my home as a litter box. I sprinkled out a good amount and actually liked the smell. But it did not repel my cats; they continued digging and doing their business there. My advice: skip it.

I have very rude neighbors that let their dogs relieve themselves on my lawn. We tried 2 full containers of this stuff, spreading it quite liberally around the area the dogs frequent. The dogs didn't seem to even notice this stuff was there.I've read other reviews that say how effective this is. Maybe the dogs in my neighborhood can't smell because they are even annoyed in the least. This doesn't work at all for the dogs we wish to repel.It was convenient to order on Amazon, it is easy enough to apply, and we've tried 2 full containers. It's time to give up and try something else.

Tired of people walking there dogs and allowing them to "use" my flower bed to relieve themselves. After spreading the granules--No more piles. (and it lasts much longer than the container says! First, I cleaned the area, then Hosed down the entire street side beds, surrounded by gravel. When dry, I applied the product. I have to say, at first it had a peculiar odor, but that soon goes away. The usual dog walkers who go by everyday (about 10-15 dogs), went by and I watched one day and they seemed surprised that their dogs no longer stopped to "sniff" after the first day. They avoided the area!!! Still going!
