Head band is very comfortable and super adjustable. Worked great and the view is much better than shields I have used in the past. I've never used any of the high dollar name brand units, but I can't imagine how they could be any better than this unit. Very satisfied with the performance with both Tig and Mig use.

This welding helmet has it all! It has a GIANT 3.94" X 3.86" viewing area. The mask comes with protective shields already installed on the inside and outside of the cartridge. It also comes with two spare front and one spare inside shield. Further, the cartridge is already fitted to hold a "Cheater Lens" if desired.The cartridge takes a battery and it also has a solar charger. Together, the manufacturer says battery life can be 3500 - 5000 hours. The cartridge also has four arc sensors to sense when welding (arc, mig,tig) has begun so that the lens can be automatically darkened to your set parameters.The cartridge is adjustable to shade ranges #5 - #13. There are controls for the shade's darkness, sensitivity, and delay. There is also. a grind mode that is set to shade #4. All of the shade's controls are OUTSIDE of the helmet, on the left side. The best part is that they are mounted flat, so there are no knobs sticking out to get changed by being hung up or snagged on your surroundings.Lastly, this helmet's headgear is one of the most adjustable on the market. It can, of course, be used with a hard hat and respirator. It also conforms to your head with adjustable headband with sweat pad and rear conforming adjustments, and two adjustable top of head straps. This gives you as close to perfect a fit as you can get. Next the helmet also has helmet forward / rearward adjustments when it is over your face. It also has stops at the headgear to helmet connection points to control how far the helmet can travel downward toward tour chin / chest.Now, I believe this to be a wonderful helmet. I see more through this mask than I ever have in any other mask I've used. I'm not welding all day, everyday...but I'm not a novice welder. It will certainly meet the needs of the non-pro or occasional welder. It will likely meet the needs of a pro...for a while...I'm just not sure how long it will stand up to 8-10 hours a day use. I liked the masked and WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED WHEN I GOT IT & USED IT!

Got the first one and couldn't adjust the sensitivity. The auto darkening would just cut in and out like a strobe. Tried and new battery and didn't have any effect. Got a replacement right away and this one seems to work well. Very comfortable compared to my old heavy helmet. This is not a top of the line helmet by any means but does work well for the "now and then" welder.

Only used for mig welding a few times and works good, head gear does seem light but is comfortable. Head gear also looks a lot like a Miller head gear if a replacement is needed. After a lot of research I picked this helmet and I have no regrets at this time.

I bought this welding helmet about two years ago and have a total of around 4 total hours of use, and it just stopped working. When i try to use it with a new battery in it, the mask flickers when the ark is started, i went through 3 new batteries just to make sure it was not a battery problem. I had to revert to using a weldmark helmet that is 12 years old and still works flawlessly.

By the looks of it its great. I tried out the change from light to shade and it works really fast. It has a great large viewing area which is a big plus. I will update after I use it in a week or so but it seems great as if right now.

Had my hood for 9 months and it hasn't broken on me. The hood does have a small problem with adjusting the pivot knobs, tight to hold it up or loose to let it down easy, still haven't been able to adjust it to stay open with no drifting and still be able to flick it down.But at what it costs the pivot knobs are a minor issue to overlook. Has been doing a great job with my Mig and Tig welding and has good field of view. Has enough ventilation to keep the fogging down in the SoFlo heat, Does fog after a while but not as bad as one of my other hoods from Matco tools.

Upon opening the helmet, my initial thoughts were that it looked good, then I took the packaging off further and saw a warped plastic head band, I'll write this off a little and attribute it to sitting in a box for a long while. But then read the instructions to figure out how to adjust it and work it. I got to adjusting how close your head is to the viewing screen and the right side worked as it's supposed to but the left side is missing the spring that pushes the plastic tab through and into the head band to lock in the position, it never comes up so freely slides around and the helmet falls away from the head band on that side rendering it useless. I'm normally not one to write reviews as I typically just find a way to make it work or deal with it but this is not something I can fix. It is useless and I hope a replacement proves to be better and that this is a rare fluke.

Très bonne vision, assez léger, fonctionne très bien lorsque l'ampérage est haut, mais pour souder de l'acier 16 gauge au tig, il ne fonctionne pas, l'arc n'est pas assez fort pour faire activer l'écran... Déception car je l'avais acheté principalement pour ca...
