We recently bought a propane firepit to add to our new Motor Home...while we love the easy fire and no smoke smell aspect, its not nearly as warm as a traditional wood fire. You have to hover really close to the flame to stay warm, as soon as you try to sit back in your chair you loose the heat...so sucks to not be able to sit back and relax while staying warm.I was on Facebook and one of my many RV groups I am in posted about this thing so I was immediately intrigued and came to Amazon to look it up. Could instantly see that something like this was genius! My hubby was sold on one review that said it makes perfect smores...it does! (creates a perfect browning oven if you keep kinda close to the top) We debated about trying to make our own...as $200 seemed pretty steep - but by the time we added up the needed parts and using an heat deflector from our old patio heater it was almost as much as just buying this thing-and it wouldn't look like some white trash engineering project! LOL So we opted to bite the bullet, spend the money and get something that looked well built - we plan to camp a lot so something like this will get used often.It arrived well packaged with huge foam pieces to the protect the corners - and even a sweet personal note from the owners written on the box "Warm Greetings Mark and Jen :)" that made me smile and I love to buy American made products. It comes all assembled so pull it out of the box and you are ready to go!We tried it this weekend for the first time and WOW what a heat game changer! Take all the heat that generally just dissipates up into the air and directs it out at the people actually sitting around the fire! Makes a HUGE difference! To all the reviews that say its too expensive, well its a quality made piece and worth every penny!! Works as advertised and kept us nice and toasty - we could sit back in our heated rocking chairs (we are totally glamping) and feel the heat from the fire.I did go less expensive for the side blocks - as you can see in my photos. I purchased a piece of flexible automotive heat reflector, it worked great!! and was only $17. I also bought a case that's meant to carry dog fencing and it fits perfect - while I didn't mind spending the money on the heat warden itself I couldn't justify the cost for the sides and case when there are less expensive options available. Would be nice to see those options come down in price.We are also going to make a table top for it! The only issue I saw was that we had a group of 4 - if we wanted to play a game of cards we had to move to the side and then 2 people were pushed away from the heat. So I had the idea to take a piece of plywood, line the bottom with the same automotive heat stuff, finish the top, cut a hole for the handle so it can easily be set on top and create a table that everyone can sit around and still enjoy heat while we play cards. Also, this will be a level of protection for little hands when we have our grandbabies with us, as its only a matter of time until one of them accidently puts a hand on the hot metal. So idea for Heat Warden to make a table top that goes with this! ;)All in all I think this product is worth the price and does exactly what it should creating a nice warm circle around the fire. The edges are a bit sharp so be careful when handling - a little more buffing on the edge to soften it would be nice. But we highly highly recommend this product! If you like to camp and have a propane firepit this will be a game changer for you - just do it!

Quality product. Works well

I rarely write a review but this item is awesome! I’ve had my Outland propane fire pit for a while now and always felt like the heat just went straight up. I had to hold my hands straight over it to feel the heat, even on a high setting. The Heat Warden fits perfectly over it and disperses the heat out so nicely! I am absolutely loving it! A bit pricey but worth every penny!

Worst product I have ever tried! Spent 200 dollars on it and it did very little to nothing. It is just a hunk of metal that you are stuck moving around. Then when I tried to return it. They didn’t disclose a shipping fee or a restocking fee but once it got there I only got a 45 dollar refund. What a joke of company. I thought and American Made company would mean more.

The under edge of the top is very sharp. I had to take a file to all four edges. As far as working it put the heat out to the sides.

This product is awesome. Open the box, extend the legs and you are ready to go. Really makes a difference while enjoying the fire first thing in the morning or at night. My wife and I love it. Added benefit is cooking marshmallows for S'mores and you can cook away from fire getting them perfectly brown. Have already been selling these to neighboring campers. The quality is top notch and supporting firefighters is just incredible. We just purchased the carrying case so we can keep it safe while traveling. Keep up the great work Mark & Peg

Seems like a great idea, but I think it needs to be much taller. I think my solo fire pit doesn't get up as hot with this over it. Next time it warms up a little I will try to extend the legs and see if it helps to be a couple of feet over the fire pit. It is well made.
