Billie Holiday

I really had problems with the chronology of this book. The author seemed to jump from one decade to another without any clarification. I used this for a project and had to make notes on the pages to understand the timeline. There are also a lot of "double quotes" (quotes of someone quoting someone) which is confusing and doesn't add credibility.

Informative, enjoyable but chaotic in it's organisation. This doesn't really contain anything that other books about Billie don't have and just feels like a bit of a re-tread of Robert O'Meally's book ('The Many Faces Of Billie Holiday') ... and that has loads of pictures ... this doesn't have any. It's o.k, nothing brilliant.

Not what I expected. There was no mention of the life she led as a child and numerous amounts of her life were not included. I'm very disappointed
