Weird crisps
I don’t know what to say because I got them for a friend

Wouldn’t bother -
both lobster and truffle flavour disappears after a few bites. Buy Torres instead, better long lasting flavour.

Very well flavoured but quite pricey
I have had other truffle hunter products before and they do produce well flavoured products. These crisps were no different, very nicely flavoured and you do get both the truffle and the lobster taste on them though neither are particularly strong or overpowering. The crisps themselves are of the 'kettle chip' style so a bit more substance than a standard crisp and that it nice for what one would assume will be a pre-dinner drink snack. There are a couple of things that are worth noting that may give people some pause. The amount of crisps in the tin is quite disappointing given the price point. The tin is about 2/3 full at best, and in fact the tin seems to result in more smashed crisps than normal so you don't end up with a lot of whole crisps. The tin itself is therefore quite a sizeable and unfortunately disposable gimmick as it doesn't really protect the crisps and nor has it any further use as the lid is a ring pull variety that once pulled cannot be re-used. Also, the crisps were a little greasy for me, and also because of the number of broken crisps this meant the end of a tin wasn't particularly an enjoyable eating experience.I did enjoy the crisps flavour but I probably would not buy again at their current high price and in the current packaging.

Tasty
This is the first time i have seen let alone tasted white truffle and lobster crisps. The crisps themselves have a nice flavour and smell. The flavour isnt overpowering but subtle and simplistic. I am sure as with all things it wont be to everyones taste but i did like them. I wouldnt go as far as to say they are the nicest crisps i have ever eaten but they were certainly pleasant and inoffensive. Texture wise however they are a level up from your normal thin crumbly crisp. They have a real bite to them which makes them crunchier and more satisfying than the norm. The container they come in is really nice so they would actually make a good choice to take aroind to somebodies house if you have been invited round for drinks. I do have one criticism about the tins though. They are so good quality that you feel that you could keep them and reuse them for storage. Unfortunately its a pull off lid which is not reusable so it feels a bit like a wasted opportunity. They are a bit on the expensive side for crisps and the case seems overkill to an extent in terms of the difference in packaging quality between these and normal tube based crisps, but it is a flavour that you wouldnt normally see.....

Okay crisps just lacks the flavour of truffles and lobster
Oh I really wanted to like these as I like those M&S truffle crisps, and these, with the added bonus of lobster, just sounded awesome.Three tins arrived with the packaging smacking of premium quality, which should be a given, seeing as the asking price is £15.95.Pulled the lid off one and was a little dismayed to find that it was less than half full of crisps. They did smell like the aforementioned M&S ones though. So I dived right in…These crisps are sadly lacklustre, whilst there is a very light truffle flavour if you think hard enough, however, there is a serious lack of lobster here. In fact, I don’t believe the potatoes used to make these crisps have even heard the word “lobster” never mind being flavoured with our crustacean friends. That said, given the blurb says that this is vegan, then perhaps the lack of lobster shouldn’t be a surprise, except lobster is clearly used in the labelling…Despite the distinct lack of flavour these crisps are very, well, crispy, and would be so much better if they had a stronger taste. For me they tasted like a slightly stronger bag of ready salted crisps. This is a very poor showing for near £16. Also, there is the inability to reseal these. If I’m paying £5+ per tin I’m probably going to want them to last a while, and not wolf them down in one sitting. That said, these are okay as I like ready salted crisps, I just don’t think these are value for money.

Tasteless and over priced
I really wanted to like these as I have loved all of the other TruffleHunter stuff I have had in the past.Putting crisps in a tin was a nice touch as everything is recyclable. However, the under edge of the tin when you remove the top is sharp, so you have to watch your hands when pulling crisps out. The crisps themselves had virtually no flavour. There was a merest hint of truffle, but absolutely none of lobster.I was very disappointed, you are really paying a premium for crisps in a tin. What's more, you have to eat them all in one go. There was no cap to put over the tin just in case you never finished the crisps.I'll stick with bags in future.

Nice premium crisps, well presented, but couldn't taste the lobster, and barely the truffle.
In terms of presentation, this crisps are presented in 3 very nice looking containers. Though once opened, they can't be resealed, so you need to work your way through them. Though disappointingly they're only about 2/3 full at best. The crisps themselves look like and have same texture and feel to the premium crisps you can buy in the shops. In terms of flavour, I was expecting strong truffle and a good hint of lobster. Perhaps I was expecting it to be similar in intensity to say prawn cocktail crisps... However, I could hardly taste the truffle, and absolutely could not taste any lobster. Interestingly these crisps are vegan, so I guess there's not actually any lobster in there (and presumably none were harmed making the crisps?)... My feel was it tasted like ready salted crisps...If you're buying these as a gift, I could see this being of interest since it is definitely well presented and looks a premium product. However if buying it for myself, at ÂŁ16, I felt was overpriced for what seemed to be lacking truffle and lobster flavour, and tasted like just ready salted crisps...
