I put it on over wax.
I'm writing a review for a specific reason - because I have seen some confusion over how to prep your car before you apply this stuff. Some people are claying the car, others are stripping off all waxes using chemical methods. Claying a car is great if you have surface contaminants and haven't done it in awhile, but I assume it is TOTALLY ok to apply this product over wax. It's a sealant, right? Like a shell on top of your already beautiful finish. So to get a beautiful finish, you need to do some stuff to a car that's not brand new. You probably do need to clay it. If you have been using car washes with things that hit your car, or you've been using scratchy towels to dry it, you'll probably benefit from compounding the car with something fairly mild to get surface scratches out. You'll want to polish it, and you'll want to wax it.I say "want." If you've ever walked around your car in your garage with a flashlight on a saturday night to make sure you've gotten every last smudge off of it, and if the phrase "repeat for extra protection" feels like permission rather than a chore, you're going to love this product. PUT IT ON VERY THIN AND VERY THOROUGHLY. Do the whole car at once. Then go visit your wife who wonders what the hell else you could be doing to your car. Take a good half hour. Yeah, that means some of this finish will sit on your car for an hour. That's awesome. Then go back and see how beautifully it comes off, giving you all the shine that the carnauba wax did with none of the oiliness. Run your finger across it. It's ok. It won't smudge. This stuff is wonderful, but it's putting a dent in my ridiculous car shining hobby, because it's just shiny all the time. I'm sorta' hoping for rain so I can use the foam cannon again!

Great stuff
I've already finished applying to two vehicles and I was more impressed with the shine than my expensive ($7 cheaper than this) carnuba wax which lasted 3 months. I wanted something that would last longer. As far as long-term durability I don't know yet, but I'll trust the hundreds of reviews that testify to this. It's rained here bunches since initial applications on a white vehicle and a red one. Water doesn't bead as well as carnuba, but it's close enough that I don't care. However where water forms into big beads with carnuba, water forms into much smaller beads. This means you won't see water spots. It's there mind you, it's just so uniform that it's not an eye sore. It's more of a light haze over the vehicle which washes off easier with the sealer than carnuba.Dry time..... Gahhhhhh, I don't like it but hey, it is what it is and worth the wait.Key note for new users, my goodness don't try to cake this on. Look sideways into the finish as you apply it. A thin coat is all you need. If it looks wet then yer fine. Pink and you've over applied. Remember once it's dried, 99% of it gets rubbed off, so why cake it on? It doesn't give you a thicker anything. Just tired muscles.Dry time..... Wait 30 minutes. If it looks dry before then DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT. That's just dry on top, not beneath. If you wipe it off and fine the cloth is sticky, it wasn't completely dry yet.

A little bit goes a long way.
This works true to its claims. When I first started using this product I noticed that it goes on with a pink tint. That was very nice for me since I am a first-time user of this type of product. The pink helped me more easily see where I had done and get a more even coat. I like that this product does not have a very powerful smell like I was expecting it to have. Much like the product the instructions were simple and straightforward. When I ordered the paint sealant I was especially interested in using tit on an area of my hood where I had to repaint some major pain peeling. The last time I repainted these areas I was in a hurry and did a horrible job. After using this sealant in this area I can tell that although it is not completely bringing it to a shine like other areas would it does still obviously protect the car's surface providing a shield against the hazards of the road. i just took another look at it and compared it to an area I had left untouched and the dirt that is on my car again from driving it for a few days brushes right off on the protected area but not so easily on the untouched area. I tried to get some good pictures for comparison but I am not sure they really show it that well.I have used the the Car Wash by TriNova and this uphold the same standard. As far as I can tell from these two products they have a very high standard and are consistent with it.#GoTriNova

I had previously been using regular carnauba wax on my car but it would wear off very fast between wash intervals. While the wax made the car look nice for a day or two it would quickly wear off.I just sealed my car last weekend using this stuff and oh my god it is amazing! Application was very straightforward and the car had a beautiful shine once I was done. Over the last few days as I've been going to close my trunk and touched the bumper, I've noticed that the paint feels very smooth, almost like butter smooth. It rained the other day and once the rain stopped I found the water had simply fallen off my car. Very minimal water spots were left when normally there are a good amount. The garage at work where I park is usually kind of dusty and just a day or two after wash you can see the dust accumulate on the car. So far I can't see any dust! Lastly, I got a nasty bird crap right on the hood, and while some of the crap still stuck, most of it looked like it slid off, making cleaning it up so much easier. It's like any outside element can't get on my car.I can't comment on the durability because it has only been a week so far but I am very impressed. I imagine I won't need to wash my car as often as a result of this, and since I don't have a garage at home this will be huge!
