This is a great shower tent, improves camping experience x 10, it’s nice to go to bed showered each camping night. Stays in its position when you use spikes on each corner or rocks if you’re over concrete, comes with a floor and a drain, easy to use, pops out quick and isn’t too difficult to put back, but you don’t wanna rush putting it back, it has to be rolled tight, I wish everything would fit inside the awning, but I gotta leave the floor out unfortunately, installing can be difficult but if you have mechanical aptitude you should be fine. The only other negative thing is that the LED light has A cigarette plug, I wish it was usb or usb-c, I spent a bunch of money adapting an 18v battery and a converter to 12v to use this light, only to find out the battery drains quickly due to the converter, if it was just usb I wouldn’t have this issue, I ended up accidentally messing up the cable for the light

Great awning! Secure and waterproof bag. Awning rolls out nice and legs/braces adjust as they should. We use it for camping and added 12v usb powered led string lights.

So my review is actually pretty positive. The awning is pretty well made and I would say well worth the price (priced very competitively). Not the easiest to set up solo, but with two people it would take less than a minute. Packs up well, I think it’s a great product (6.6’x10’) mounted flush to the side of my truck camper. BUT 4 stars instead of 5 and it’s mostly my fault, but in high winds and trying to take it down solo, my poles and frame got destroyed. I just couldn’t do it alone without the top grabbing the wind and it whipped all over the place. Mine is pretty much useless now, but lesson learned. There are VERY similar awnings available for half the cost but I ordered a front and side wall and so I’ll be replacing mine with another All-Top awning. If you are careful in high wind conditions (mine was handling 10-15 mph steady winds fine, it was the storm squall that caught me by surprise, probably 25-30 mph that messed me up) and if you have an extra person to setup and tear down, I would definitely recommend the awning.

Bought the 6.6 x 8 ft extension wall. Haven't used it yet aside from test fitting it. Quality seems very good to excellent. The piping fits the channel on my old Yakima Slim Shady perfectly. One area for improvement is more grommets are needed. Grommets are only on the edge where opposite the edge with the piping. If there were grommets on the two side edges, then you could prop up tarp poles underneath the midpoint of the wall to better adjust the length.

I bought the ALLTOP Shower Canopy for camping trips and overlanding, and it’s one of those pieces of gear you don’t realize you needed until you have it. Total game-changer for backcountry hygiene. Selected this awning as it was the only overland style awning that was 10' long and wasn't stupid expensive. Install was fairly straight forward, however I wish they had included a half dozen each of the short bolts for van applications. I have a pop up roof van and needed third party brackets to make it work. I got it installed but had to take an angle grinder with a cut off wheel to shorten the bolts and smooth them once installed to avoid interference with my pop top. My brackets are the Wasatch Overland Ford Shorts, and with the awning fully cinched up with the straps in in the awning, the awning barely clears the doors. Added cinch straps are needed on the bag itself to pull the bag up higher to keep it out of the doors. The ties shown are temporary just to get it functioning. Looks like they included decent enough guy lines, but they also included the same junk stakes that most modern tents and such come with that are just a bent piece of metal. I keep a set of heavy duty stakes, and a set of the auger / screw in stakes for a cordless drill to drive in that should cover all my needs here. Materials seem first rate, excluding the plastic end bits, so far. I don't think they are exactly mission critical though. Long story short, this is exactly the size awning my camper needed, and aside from it obviously not having taken pop top camper vans into consideration, you know like Colorado Campervans, the classic VW Westfalia, or my Sportsmobile, probably many others... it falls into the category of must have gear. Obviously it would have to be taken down for big winds, but this will allow me to have a less insanity inducing living space should I encounter multi day torrential rain slogs in my travels. Just a quick update on the cracked plastic end piece. I called all top and they sent me a replacement with no hassle. I haven't installed it yet but that's coming. After deploying it and hurling it back up a couple of times I have some bits of advice. For starters lock the legs in place. The ones at the end need to not be able to slide out and the ones that extend from the main frame. As soon as you open the bag deploy those and lock them in place so you can put the awning piece onto the arms without too much hassle. I tried to do a setup video of it but well my camera died. Maybe I will add one later. There are people that hate bag type awnings. Honestly this thing's perfect for this van for me and I do have some issues limiting range of movement so if I can do it almost anyone can.

Spent 4 days on Padre National Seashore to fish, camp and watch the Eclipse. Fishing was good. Clouds blocked the Eclipse. But this awning really shined! It withstood two days of 25+ mph wind. The side rails/bars are what really helped accomplish the success. The awning was barely affected by the wind and even shed a 30min rain shower w ease. My two boys were able to stay out of the wind and rain for a couple of hours while they finished sleeping. The awning was on the leeward side of the truck which helped block the straight line winds. Awning was secured to the ground w provided guide string and sand anchors. Material is way thicker than I expected for this price point. Ripstop woven. And all the seams are double sticked including the Velcro strips. I also purchased two of the front wall add ons. The front wall sections have a “bead” sewn into them so they can be slid into the outside track bar and extend your awning. Designed to be staked into the ground but I bought two adjustable tent poles and lifted the add on awning section level w the rest of the awning and secured w guide wires to the ground. Second front wall section I added off the side of the original awning w the Velcro strips. These two sections did have to be removed w then wind blew in. They probably would’ve been fine but I didn’t want to risk it. All in all, I would highly recommend. Setup and break down are not as fast as the 180/270 awnings but we are talking a fraction the cost (and weight). I’m very happy w this purchase and may even buy another one to deploy off the back of my truck to cover the tailgate area. I also mounted the L bracket upside down so the awning had a lower profile. You won’t be disappointed.

Updates below original review form July 2021. I looked at a lot of awnings. Most are overpriced and the cheapest tend to fail. I ended up with this one mainly for one reason, the pole hinges at the top are metal. This is the most common failure point on the super cheap ones. And so far its been holding up, even with winter camping. The only issue is the poles are a bit sloppy. The black plastic cubes, which are designed to keep the polls in the tracks when stored and not banging around, simply slide down too easily. And the plastic feet should be barbed inserts, not caps - they fall off. But overall, works find and its been holding up well. Update on original awning, reviewed above: I can say that over the four years I used it there was never a major issue. It held up well! I had cleaned it last year and re-water proofed it. This is expected after all those years. Cleaned up well, dirtier than expected. I did end up with some small stress holes at the Velcro but I bought some "Gheeidau Canvas Repair Patch 9×11 Inch 3Pcs Waterproof Self-Adhesive (Beige)" and stuck them on top over the Velcro before resealing with water proofing. Worked great! Sadly this awning will be retired. This week, Sept 2025, a new larger (6.6x8.2) All-Top awning arrived with their awning room. While the new awning is only a couple feet wide in both directions, it seems so much larger. I originally wanted the smaller one for quick setups with a small footprint. So part of me is not too keen on this larger one. But I also have some concerns. I bought the original smaller one for one big reason, metal pole hinges. They appear to have gone away with those and went with plastic like most every other cheap brand. I also do not at all care for the little bit of bright orange. I liked the boring plan look of the original which blended in with nature just a little more. Personal opinion though. The new one had all black coated metal which looks nice. I fear that over time it could flake off showing the bright aluminum under, especially if the aluminum starts to corrode a little from getting wet. I also do worry about rain and snow build up. While not used with the awning room it will be easy to give some tilt to it, the awning room will not allow much at all. I may have to get some extra poles for the sides and maybe make some sorta cross bars to keep the middle from collecting too much rain. Also my awning came damaged. Nothing that will affect how it works, but that bit was sad. Did not notice until it was installed and then rolled out. The hardware kit was missing too! But since I was replacing my old awning I just used the original stuff. We shall see if this one holds up just as well.
