Hallmark Card Studio 2017

This replaced my 2012 version and only because 12 wouldn't work on new Windows 10 OS computer. But I am enjoying it as it has some new features in the 5 years since I bought the old one. It also has a new feature....it puts your reminder notices on you desktop by pop-.up and an attention getting sound....and it does this more often than I feel necessary. but this is probably the best card software since "CreataCard. from a few years ago.

I got this because I am getting a new laptop. I installed on my old computer to test this program and it works great. I was worried when I started the install and status bar didn't move. It takes about 10 minutes for the status bar to indicate something is happening. Once the status shows, everything moves along quickly. So don't panic if you start install ... be patient.... it is working.I tried changing fonts, colors, inserting my own pictures, etc. all these features work and program is easy to use.I didn't try calendar or other features.Note: Got manual for Deluxe which shows you can crop photos and edit in PhotoPower even the help in this program says to use Quick Fix tab to get to crop - there is not such tab. I even reinstalled program to fix any missing items - I still have no quick fix, no crop, no PhotoPower and probably no a lot of other things. If I hit the back button, it takes me totally out of the program and back to the main screen to choose card. I'll now going to call their support to find out what is going on.

produce works great, but since this is the second time I've bought this, I rated it lower. The first time - I purchased the digital download version direct. BIG MISTAKE! My hard drive crashed and the download company REFUSED to get me the code for another digital download. I bought the disk version this time! No more bothering with the digital download site. Overall, very disappointing experience...had to pay 2x to get the same thing. Too bad amazon doesn't carry the digital download, I know I would have gotten a guarantee and easy way to download again if I needed it.

I have not used this program much yet but what I have tried I liked a lot. My old Hallmark version was way out of date, from 2000, so decided I needed something new. It has a much greater choice of cards to choose from than my old one and I like the new designs. There are also many other projects to choose from. You can print up address labels, business cards, invitations, calendars, puzzles, recipe cards and much much more, even entire party sets and 3D projects! The program is easy to install and easy to navigate. I would definitely recommend this card program to anyone looking to make more personalized greeting cards and projects.

I was very disappointed in the types of items I am able to create compared to the older versions of Hallmark Card Studio. On the 2006 program, I was able to create stationary, invitations, activity pages and games for the kids, certificates, and small posters. I have lost the ability to do this on the 2017 version. I also feel that the variety of cards are less than the older version. I might just have to see if I can find a 2006-2008 version.

The program work well when transferring from VHS to computer. I thought I would be able to edit the copy of the material, but was not able to. It did what I wanted it to do and that is copying from VHS to computer. I have not yet copied to a DVD, but will.

The software does pretty good but, at times is a little hard to use. But, my biggest complaint is the sizing of the envelopes. Does anybody know the size an A5 envelope? I should think that all the envelope sizes would be listed with the dimensions as part of the designation. Most of them only list the size as a type, such as A5. I would implore Hallmark to remedy that on it's next update.

It really handy to have this at home. There were a few times I was not able to go out a get a card, this program was available. I like it a lot. Thank you.
