We bought this as a temp cage for our degus. Downside was the material covered ledge and steps these was chewed whivh we had to replace with wooden ledges which allowed for a larger wheel to be used.

Love the cage... Does the job. Pet rat also also agreed the cage is great. Shame about delivery. Stayed in twice 2 days in a row, said they tried to deliver, they took picture of a shop and drove off. Did not try to deliver to house. Ended up having to pick it up from a pick up point. DPD not great..

Perfect as a little isolation cage to start bonding small animals

I bought this for my four rats it’s way to small and on day off putting them into it two off my rats escaped the bars are too far apart and it’s too small for any small animal very disappointed and disgusting wasted my money and time now have a cage I can’t use and have to try and sell on

I bought the 1 storey cage. It says it's 2 levels but really, it's a shelf, half the size of the cage. The whole thing was way too small to put toys, hammock, hide, hay racj and food bowl... As well as a 16 wk old chinchilla kit. I thankfully bought this as a temp cage to sit side by side to bond her to another female chin. It broke my heart seeing my baby in this tiny little prison. Thankfully she was only in it for 3 days and is now in a proper chinchilla cage which is nearly 4 times the size of this one. It is a real shame as the locking mechanism on this cage is better than the proper cage and it was easier to build. Nothing worse than a good design of a cage being let down by size. You really need to understand what a pet needs in the cage with it before deciding on the size of the cage.

I should have looked at the size properly cause I Bought this for 2 guinea pigs but not really big enough, but luckily have a quail that needed a new cage so she was happy. Really easy to clean as the bottom pulls out and lovely big doors to get in too. Good strong lock to stop naughty little grandchildren opening it.

I brought this for my 2 adult female rats and I was worried about the bar spacing of this cage seeing as they are 2cm apart but they can barley for their noses out. I don't think this cage would be suitable for fully grown Hamsters, Gerbals or baby Rats but for older pets it's great, only spacious for 2 rodents at max.Personally I decided not to use the platform and ramp that comes with this cage because it made the cage look and feel a bit smaller than it is. The lock is an amazing feature tho and very safe and secure.
