The Gravedigger's Son: A Charley Davidson Novella Paperback – Import, 8 April 2021

What can I say, I can't get enough from any story from the Charley Davidson's series. Just like the original series this story is witty and sexy and plain fun. Although, there maybe some violence in the story is fits the plot and the characters. I love the fact that Amber Kowalski and Quentin Rutherford are back together and working to help others and get the bad guys or girls. They were one of my favorite part of the original series and it was cute how they protected one another.I hope Darynda Jones can find away to bring this couple back again for another story.

Demons, old crush and resisting a second chance.Quentin is back and is a demon hunter for the church but why did he leave in the first place?Amber is focused on the current deaths by the supernatural. Quentin does not see she has changed too. Will survive their investigation and the demons that there now?

Amber was one of the main characters in the Charley Davidson series, she is Cookies daughter, Cookie used to be Charlie’s best friend ( well still is) and her receptionist. When we first meet Amber in the books she’s a teenager showing signs of supernatural talents. Quentin, (when first we meet) is a teenage boy that has been possessed and sent to kill Charlie. Charlie deals with his possession but Quentin suffers in the process. His memory is gone, oh, I also forgot to mention Quentin is profoundly deaf. Not being able to return him to his family Charlie arranges a foster family for Quentin. He and Amber are inseparable from the time they meet, it’s love at first sight, even though they are so young. The two start their own investigation agency and make plans for a future in which they will always be together. But some plans don’t work out, Amber is out of college working as a P.I. With her own office, it’s a one woman show and she takes on living and deceased clients. Her day starts out as usual with a ghost waiting to talk to her, Amber has no idea taking the ghosts case will lead her back to Quentin who disappeared from her life over five years ago with no word why or where he was going. Always great to return to the world of Charley Davidson thought this story is strictly Ambers and Quentin’s.

I loved revisiting characters from the Charley Davidson world. I loved learning about Amber and Quentin. I’m just greedy I want more. I love the memes, bumper stickers, t-shirts etc they make you laugh out loud.
