Works on sap!
Worked very well on removing old sap on my car from a year ago. You do have to scrub a bit but it got it all off and didn’t damage the paint at all! I used it on the hood, sides, and entire front of my car.

Good but not great
Product works fine on lightly stuck tar. However, the results are not 100%. May need to apply time after time for desired result.

Removed tree sap instantly.
Removed tree sap from my car. Tried other product and none worked as well as this. Just pretty much spray and wipe off. Love it!!

A Very Disappointing Experience
I recently tried Stoner Car Care’s Tar, Sap, and Asphalt Remover with high hopes of tackling some stubborn pine tree sap on my vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite the product’s claims, it failed to make a noticeable dent in removing the sap.First, let me say that the packaging and marketing of this remover are promising, but the performance is another story. Pine tree sap is notoriously difficult to deal with, and I expected this specialized product to handle the job effectively. However, after following the instructions meticulously—applying it directly to the sap, letting it sit for the recommended time, and then wiping it away—I found that it barely touched the sticky residue. The remover didn’t dissolve or lift the sap as advertised. Instead, I had to resort to excessive scrubbing and even tried multiple applications, which still didn’t yield the results I was hoping for. Not only did this consume a significant amount of my time, but it also left me frustrated and disappointed. In addition to its ineffectiveness on pine sap, the product’s smell was quite strong and unpleasant. It’s a minor point compared to its cleaning performance, but it did add to the overall negative experience. For anyone dealing with stubborn pine tree sap, I would recommend looking for alternative products specifically designed for that purpose. Stoner’s Tar, Sap, and Asphalt Remover might work fine for tar and asphalt, but when it comes to pine sap, it falls short of expectations. Save yourself the hassle and try a different solution that’s proven to handle sap effectively.

Average
This might work IF you catch the paint, asphalt within the first 6-8 hours. Anything longer and you'll need petroleum jelly and power washing. Very average results.

1 million times YES!!
I will be adding photos to my review later. My 2009 Honda sat in the country for 17 months (!!!) surrounded by pine and fruit trees. The metallic grey was COMPLETELY polka-dot with sap, pine needles, etc. When I'd finally saved enough $ for new tires and brakes all around, even my mechanic thought I'd never get it clean. I tried a couple "home remedies" only to waste my time and be discouraged. Turned to Amazon, found this product and now I'll spend the rest of my days singing your praises and throwing reccomendations in every direction. I love my 15 year old Accord EX-L 2 door coupe with 200k miles on it and would not trade it for a Lamborghini!! I am twice widowed, money is very tight...so THANK YOU SO MUCH for making an affordable, American made product that easily does a perfect job! 👍

Don't be in a hurry
What I didn't know when moving to the Evergreen state was the amount of sap that is produced. My Tacoma looked like a ghillie suit. Blobs of sap, imbedded with needles, cones and moss. Totally unexpected BUT its worth living here to deal with it. This Stoner sap remover does what it says. CLEANS without damaging chrome or paint. I used a little on window trim and the lights and no issues. The amount I had to deal with was not going to be fun BUT I broke it into 3 sections. Spent hours spraying and clearing sap and debris. MORE time wiping with damp rags, THEN a full car wash....3 separate days. YES it was tedious. My Tacoma needed the intensive care. The 3rd day after sap removal then 3rd complete wash and dry my truck looked like it was freshly detailed by a pro. (Did I mention I tried to FIND a pre to clean this up? NO takers)Glad I bought 2 cans for the next go round.

Works great
My driveway is under large needles trees. My truck gets covered in sap on a hot day. I followed the simple instructions and it removed the sap like a hot knife going through butter.

Great stuff
Easily removes tar. Love this product!! Spray on a microfiber and go to town, or spray directly on rims and let linger for maximum effect.
