Purolator PBL14461 PurolatorBOSS Maximum Engine Protection Spin On Oil Filter

I really like this filter. Everything online says its a top tier product and I have no reason to not belive that. Currently I am using this filter on a 2016 Mazda CX-3, 2018 Honda Pilot, 2011 Subaru Forester, and a 2024 CRV Hybrid. I work on all of my families vehicles and its nice to use one filter for everything. I will try to update this post if I find that it works on more vehicles as they need oil changes. No leaks so far. Great value when they go on sale. Installs as easy as any other filters I have used.

I recently picked up a few of these PurolatorBOSS (PBL14461) filters when I found them on an amazing deal, and I’m really glad I did. If you do your own oil changes, you know that the filter quality is just as important as the oil itself, and this one feels like a significant step up from standard filters. The installation was incredibly straightforward. Everything lined up perfectly, and it threaded on smoothly without any hassle. You can tell just by holding it that the construction is high-quality and built to be durable. I’m currently running this with full synthetic oil, and it gives me peace of mind knowing the filter is designed to handle the extended drain intervals I'm aiming for.

In tests I watched on Youtube, this filter performed well with a logical test methodology for reasonable filtering and flow, so I decided to buy it and a different part number for a different vehicle (but still the PurolatorBOSS brand filter). Oil is changed every 5000 miles on both cars, and there have been no issues or leaks with this filter properly installed. I would suggest you also do a good search for reviews from sources you trust, and that use a good methodology for objective testing...scrutinize sources carefully for bias.

2023 KIA Forte GT Line 2.0l. Been using this with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w/20 for the entire life of my vehicle. This filters performance was ths best on YouTube for the smallest particles it filters and holds the most debris. These are rated for 20,000 miles and when used with the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum the oil doesn't even start to get black til around 5000miles or about 1yr.

Very well made filter with some of the best synthetic filtering media in the business. Between this and Fram Endurance they are the best value high filtering filters in the Business. I always insist my filters are made in USA as both mentioned are. You get what you pay for here. Maybe the best. Don't cheap out on filters if you go to 7k to 10k OCI on full synthetic oil. Don't be fooled.

Great oil filter for a turbo that requires high heat oil. You want quality you want this item. K an N you better step it up fast. This is a big time big league filter.

I'd recommend checking out the ratings on anything that goes on your vehicles. I go with #1 because vehicles aren't throwaway; the longer I can get a vehicle to last, the more money in my pocket.

It was surprised that the companies flagship oil filter was not sealed with at least a thin plastic cover on the inlet end. Never the less the filter appears to be very well made.

I use these when doing oil changes. They seem to be much better than some other brands. I used this particular one on a Kia Soul 2014. Just wish there would be some kind of texture on to help tightening it but that doesn’t matter that much.

La caja del filtro llegó estropeada, al abrir solo tiene un pequeño golpe el filtro en la parte de la base, aún no lo instalo, esperemos supere mis expectativas, el servicio de paquetería de Amazon es excelente llegó antes de lo programado.
