Reese Towpower Portable Electric Winch

It moves my 465lb.pound wood splitter up a slight grade to put it away.witch is what i got it for.

I need this to pull y Smoker up into my Toy Hauler when I am alone. The Smoker is a YS640 and is about 500 pounds. When the back door is dropped, at a decent angle, this pulls the grill without any issues into the RV. Just the job for a good price

I mounted this on the rear of my foreman, first it has hardly any pulling power to pull a 4wheelers out of some snow.So the second time I needed it, it would not work anymore. The outer plastic case split open the first time I used it so I'm guessing it allowed rain to short it out or rust whatever. Bottom line it's a Crap wench I got what I payed for I guess. Oh this all happened in about 3 months.

In reading the product description - I did not understand that this is NOT REALLY an "electric" wench but has to be run by a battery. I need to return it and purchase one that you plug into an electric outlet.

I bought this product about 10 years ago from tractor supply only $55. Then It has been great but I abused it. Customer service was great. But can get a new one for much less money from Walmart. As my local tractor supply does not have any more of these in stock. I tried to winch a car that was too heavy onto a trailer. And I am not liking the other portable winches. I may be wrong but it seems they don't have a reverse switch on their remote. Don't know why this project has so very few stars. As a contractor out of Phoenixville Pennsylvania. It was great until I really abused it.
