Lola Reads to Leo

Before baby #2 arrived I prepped my two year old with this story at bed time on the regular and I think it helped. Now that the baby has arrived we still read this book and draw comparisons to real life. It’s a great story and easy to read.

Such a sweet story to help my daughter get ready for baby. Definitely recommend for expecting parents who enjoy reading with their kids.

We got this book for our daughter during our second pregnancy and we loved having it. It was the perfect level for our 2 year old, talks about the concepts that are important and helped her understand what was happening in mommy's belly. We had a hard time getting her to understand the concept of a new baby coming and this book helped her build the vocabulary to be able to get excited about baby brother coming.

My daughter absolutely adores the Lola books. After enjoying Lola at the Library we skipped ahead and ordered this. It's been requested and read to her so many times that she can actually 'read' it by heart now. Even though she is still an only child she really loves it. The illustrations, the beautiful, clear language and the sense of 'big girl-ness' that Lola takes on as a big sister is appealing to any child. Not to mention that as a mother of a beautiful black girl, it is heartening that there are books like this. I'm definitely going to buy the others in the series!
