K&J vs. Drinkwell Platinum
The best thing about these filters is the price, the original Drinkwell Filters are a lot more expensive, which is why I tried the K&J Filters. The K&J filters look to be well made and a good bargain when buying the 12 pack, however they do not contain as much charcoal as the Drinkwell filters and will probably need to be changed out more often. I haven't used any of them at this time, I'm hoping they will last as long as the original ones.

fountain filters
These filters were larger then what I have been getting for several years since I purchased the fountain. I had to cut 1/4 of the top off to fit into fountain. So far it seems to be working. Maybe more of an update later. After using these for awhile, the water flow changed to where it was hitting into the water and making a lot of noise. Could not adjust this by adding water. So I will just go back to the other ones I had been using. Cutting these smaller did not work out.

No - at least not with water like ours
First of all, I want to note that we live in a semi-rural area in humid NC, and we do occasionally have trouble with mildew in our water supply. That said, with authentic Drinkwell filters, over the four years we've lived here, we've never had a problem with mildew or mold in our Drinkwell Platinum water fountain. I've used three of these "Drinkwell compatible" filters now, and within a week or so, each time, we've had all kinds of slime in the Drinkwell fountain - black, brown and green. It smells like mold, and it makes our cats throw up. I'm headed back to authentic Drinkwell filters; advise you keep an eye out if you use these and you live in a humid area or one with occasionally problematic water.

fits Drinkwell Platinum
great price. slightly tapered for easier fit. couldn't be easier to install (see pic).TIPSIf you ever have problems with the bowl overflowing, clean out that grate that you see on the bottom right of the picture. If that gets clogged with hair or junk, it will stop the water from flowing evenly into the back, and it will keep pumping water from the back to the front, filling it until it overflows. I don't have the flow adjuster anymore because I replaced the motor (for $14 on amazon!), because I let the water dry out and it burnt the motor. Hard water (calcium build up) will affect it too. Soak it in vinegar for a day, and it will make it MUCH easier to clean off.I've had this fountain for over 5 years and it's still going, as long as you keep it clean and don't run it without water.

Quality filters at a great price.
I bought a Drinkwell cat fountain years ago but stopped using it because my kitten (now 13 years old) wasn’t interested in it. I have two new kittens, Maine Coons, who like playing in the water bowl, so I brought the Drinkwell out and set it up. I remember the filters for it being expensive so I was pleasantly surprised to find this 12 pack at such a great price. The description describes them as “premium,” and I can’t disagree. They’re the exact same filter I remember being included with the fountain when I originally purchased it. The 12-pack of filters come sealed in a no-frills plastic bag. The seller seems committed to customer satisfaction. Highly recommend.

Great price without any compromises
Great price and appreciate that each filter is individually wrapped so that the filters don't get dirty or dusty before being used. Perfect replacement for my drinkwell platinum water bowl. Item came on time and packaging was good (came in a box not a large envelope, so it kept filters from being damaged during shipping). Charcoal filter pouches seem to be the same volume as the original ones (I was afraid the low price meant they would have less charcoal but I was wrong). Also, the filters are slightly tapered like the originals so they fit perfectly. I change out the water filters more often than recommended (especially in the summer) so I am glad I found these and will definitely buy them again.

I have wasted so much money buying these elsewhere!
I seriously can't believe I've been paying over $12 for THREE of these at PetSmart! Finding them on Amazon is a complete "Doh!!" moment. These are excellent filters, identical to the Drinkwell branded ones in the pet store, and SO MUCH CHEAPER!! If you want to spend extra money on your pets, keep them on premium feed, and buy them extra toys, but SAVE YOUR MONEY HERE!For reference, I am using these in a Drinkwell Big Dog fountain, for a thirsty German Shepard and two cats. I am not as diligent as cleaning the fountain as I could be, and clean it out every two weeks or so (one week is recommended). The water is always clear and the motor doesn't sound labored.

Perfect and will buy again
Perfect for my fur babies water system. I have 3 cats and a boxer so I go through filters about every 4-5 weeks to ensure they have clean water. I paid $12-$13 for 3 filters at Petco. When I could just go here and get 12 for $13.P.s. excuse the cat food on the floor. I have a cat that likes to bat her food around lol
