Fantastic All Around Jacket/Shell/Coat
I seldom write reviews but when I am motivated by the quality of something, I feel compeled to pass that information on.I have bought many outdoor jackets/coats in my day. I am currently an Artist/Photographer of the beautiful mountain scenery of Colorado, and one never knows exactly what kind of weather to anticipate on an hourly basis. Beautiful one minute and rain or sleet turning to heavier snow the next.It has always been a rule of thumb to dress in layers to be prepared for what ever old Mom Nature throws your way. This coat/jacket/shell is the perfect outter wear for that purpose. It is light weight yet wind and water proof as well as being warm enough on its own. Yet wonderfully breathable fabric keeping it from turning into a sweat box.It provides great protection from the elements, and one may layer up underneath to provide for whatever degree of warmth required.I have found it extremely waterproof, keeping me dry in a torid downpour. I especially like the neoprene cuff system, as well as the stand up collar that serves as more warm protection behind my neck when I have to have the hood up.I have been able to stuff it in its very compact stuff sack and store it in a very small top pocket of my day pack.I only wish I could have discovered Frogg Toggs many years ago when I toured and hiked the Andes Mountains in Peru and Bolivia. It sure would have been better than those heavier garments we wore back in '73.I am so happy with this article of outdoor clothing, I bought one for my son as well. He is an avid fisherman and has said it's the best all around jacket he has ever owned.I also found the sizing to be spot on.

Great Wading Jacket for the Price
I dare you to try and find a better quality product for this price. Sure, the Simms and Orvis wading jackets are going to be better than this jacket; but at what price? The double stitched seams are securely and completely taped on the inside to form a good rain barrier. I tried to find a seam that was not properly taped and couldn't find one. I was impressed with the extra sleeve length and the width of the neoprene fabric at the cuffs. I also liked the extra stitching at the elbows which provides some reinforcement at that typically weak location.. The Velcro strap for securing the neoprene cuffs ould be better designed; the strap is narrow thus the tight seal is over a relatively narrow portion of the wide cuffs. Also...the jacket fabric will probably not stand up to brush-busting for long, but I have not had the chance to put it to that particular test. Good zippers and the double storm flap is a great rain barrier. Good pockets and fly fishing gear attachment sites. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this jacket to the fisherman wanting a light duty wading jacket.

Above average jacket with a nice surprise
I've had this jacket a little over a month now and I really like it.I thought overall it seemed like a well made product, meaning it did not feel cheap. I put it on and the fit was pretty accurate. I read some of the comments and went by the Frogg Toggs size chart [...] to find my size. I was a touch worried about it being to big as I'm a small guy but it fits pretty much like the chart says. The arms are a touch long but I have short arms, and layers fill out the chest.I like the pockets on this coat. placed nicely, very big, and they have a compartment or two inside some of them. I was pleasantly surprised by the hood on this thing. I liked it. It has this little visor that keeps the raid out of your face and has a couple of bungee strings to fit it snug to your head.Only reason I didn't give it a five star is because it doesn't have any type of insulation. I knew it didn't have any upon buying and I layer up to compensate, and it does a good job of keeping the wind out but adding a think layer of insulation would make this coat go from really good to great.

Great jacket.
I bought this jacket as a set with the Nt8211 bibs for fishing in cold/wet conditions. Although it hasn't rained on me yet, I can say that they are windproof after running 60 mph in my boat with an ambient temp of 40 degrees. You can figure the wind chill effect. I was very pleased that I could not feel the effects of the cold wind anywhere except my exposed face and hands.I bought the jacket in a large to accommodate layered clothing beneath and that worked out well. The sleeves are a little long, but that is actually a good thing, they don't ride up my arms. Also, the cuffs have a Velcro strap that allows you to cinch the cuff down on your wrist, sealing up that potential wind/rain vulnerability. For a non-insulated jacket, I was very pleased with how well it retains body heat. I would recommend this jacket to others because it works well and the price is right.

good n bad
like the styling, very practical, lots of pockets, and performance was generally good. but too much velcro is a nuisance, constantly sticking to itself, and the cuffs let water into the sleeves -- within a few minutes sweatshirt underneath was wet up to the elbows, then fortunately the rain lightened. also the gathered waist rides up even on the loosest setting.

Wow, what an incredible coat !!!!!
Wow, what an incredible coat !!!!! Extremely impressed with everything about it. It fits great, perfectly sized to accommodate a sweatshirt or heavy shirt. Everything is in the perfect place to use it. The sleeve adjustments are the best ones I've seen. Plenty of extra room to tighten or loosen the straps for different needs. The zipper is well hidden from the rain and the hood is awesome. The elastic cord that is used to tighten the bottom is at the right spot too. The pockets are tape sealed and very waterproof. Even the pocket within a pocket for a phone is perfectly sized. This coat is very well thought out and worth every penny. I would not hesitate to buy another one or recommend it to my family or friends.
