Why is the board setup incorrectly in the photos, and also in almost all of the review photos(and video)? Is this a scam?

I do not know why the setup was incorrect in the pictures. But I have gotten 3 of them. Two were as gifts and the 3rd was for me. The pieces have great weight to them and everyone has complemented on it. Hope this helps.
