Powerful Performance, Compact Design
I have had exceptional performance from every Lasko product I have owned or currently own (three fans and a ceramic wave heater) and this Air Flexor is no exception. Powerful performance from a compact package without being deafening. Pushes as much air as a Vornado at half the cost with a remote control to boot. This fan is as good looking as it is functional. The location of the electronic controls are low-profile and well done. The base is sturdy and it stays put even at the highest setting. It offers full range pivot which means you can use it year round. In the winter point it at the ceiling with the low speed setting and it will push the hot air off the ceiling and mix it with the cooler air near the floor resulting in an even distribution of heat throughout the room.A couple of other things I like about the 3637. It has memory. When I turn it on it starts at the setting I had it on when I turned it off. Here's something cool. I mentioned previously that I won three other Lasko fans, two with remote controls. With the exception of oscillation, the remote control for my Wind Curve Model 2554 can operate the 3637 and vice versa. Kind of convenient as both are located in our family room. The Lasko 2554 has been a staple in our family room for years. The 3637 replaces a Honeywell HF-810 which still works but the case is broken, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-Turbo-Force-Room-Circulator/dp/B001R1Q0OG/ref=pd_bxgy_201_img_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=0XM2BKMHTMK8CD160YZRIf you are looking for a fully functional fan that pushes plenty of air while taking up very little space the Lasko 3637 is worthy of consideration. With Lasko you get quality at a competitive price.Disclaimer: I DID NOT receive this product at a discount. I actually bought it. Hope this helps.

Well built air mover
I bought this item almost 10 years ago. I still use it today.Moves a lot of air. Isn't annoying loud to me. Running it helps be sleep better. Well balanced, low vibration operation.I've taken it apart several times to clean it. Eventually enough hair gets wrapped up in the shaft to make a ticking noise (the hair snapping I assume?) but cleaning it out solves that. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the remote. You have to face it at the unit a certain direction to make it work since it is an infrared remote. If the manufacturer instead went with a radio controlled remote, it would have been spot on perfect. It's not a huge problem for me since I leave the fan on pretty much 24 hours a day most of the year, but it would be annoying if I actually bought it with the remote in mind. For a world filled with disposable electronics, the lifespan of this fan has been a shining beacon of hope. If they still build it the way they did 10 years ago, I'd say it remains an excellent purchase. Whatever bearings they used in the motor assembly have held up great. Thank you.

Hands down my favorite smaller fan that I have purchased so far
Hands down my favorite smaller fan that I have purchased so far. ( and I have bought a FEW ).This fan has a nice sound to it while running (low). I use it a lot during the summer to keep air moving in my bedroom. It also puts out a very good amount of air for its size while on high, very impressive. The remote is flawless ( when I have not lost it somewhere ) and the hour timer is awesome. I love that I can have this fan shut it self off after 1,2,4,6, ect ours after I fall asleep. Saves myself some energy. The engine seems super solid, when you turn it on , its ON, and not whinney about getting up to speed. I would say it has a quality engine. For the price ($44) you cant go wrong. Honestly, if you want to buy the cheaper one for $30 because you want to save $14 you might be sorry. I was, and I am glad I got these. Now, if I can just find a place that sells extra remotes... mine is gone again.. good grief.

Use mine for sleeping!
My GF and I always have a fan on for sleeping and got this to replace an old lasko. It's probably 13 - 14 inches on the actual fan part with easy controls and a nice remote. It's not as "room filling" from a noise perspective as I generally like... but in all honesty it does a more than adequate job in producing white noise, I just think I'm a bit extreme in that regard. The one thing I do notice is how much colder it can make a room overnight. Usually I turn on the fan for noise but not blasting right onto us while we sleep. Which means, we don't get a huge benefit in cooling other than having the air circulating. With this thing, I can honestly see a big (5 degree) difference in the morning compared to what we were getting with my old fan.Fits my purpose, not too large, loud enough and cools your room. If you're looking for a whisper fan, this isn't it. But, if you want a nice strong fan to give you clean white-noise, this is a good bet.

I've bought a few of these and they are fantastic!
I originally bought this fan about 5 years ago, just after we moved in our new house. I use it for when I go to sleep at night, as I have to have the noise and cooling of a fan in order for me to sleep. It is the perfect size to fit on my nightstand, and with the remote, I don't have to have it within arms reach. On high, the white noise it produces is perfect for me, though some may think it's a tad loud. I can say that the quickest way to wake me up is to turn off my fan. My wife locked herself out of the house one night and the only way she could get my attention (she knew I was sleeping) was to flip the breaker off for our bedroom. She also loved the fan so much that she wanted one, and her mom who lives with us also wanted one. I have not had to replace one yet, so durability seems pretty good. Air flow is better than other similar style and size fans. The fan will not disappoint you if you are looking for a small fan that can push some air.

Quiet, reliable, and moves air well
I've had a couple of these fan in near 24x7 operation since 2017, and the fan is still quiet and moves air just as well as on day one.In the meantime other fans have come and died, which is a testament to the quality of this fan. Even more impressive, one of them is in a large basement washroom where I wash my bikes and hang my washed cycling clothes to dry. So even with the high humidity in the room, the fan is still quietly whirring away after 2.5 years. Well made product. The only complaint I have with the electronic controls on this unit is that the fan won't start up by itself after a power failure. This happens a couple of times a year, so no biggie, but in a 24x7 application I would go for a Lasko with manual controls. Will definitely buy this brand's fans again.

Decibel readings! Functionally superior to the vornado, but quality control questionable
The media could not be loaded. So how does this fan stack up to its main competitor the Vornado Sr.?Here's the decibel ratings:Vornado Sr. - High: 66 Medium: 61 Low: 58Lasko - High: 70 Medium: 67 Low: 55As you can see, the sound is pretty comparable but holy smokes does the Lasko ever produce a way stronger breeze. Like twice maybe even triple the strength. It's AVERAGE loudness for the type of machine and wind strength. For almost half the price, half the weight, and the inclusion of a remote the lasko is the clear winner performance wise. You can also take it apart and get it to aim downwards if you like.However...The lasko fan I received rattles a lot on medium speed (see video).I'm going to return this one and order another one and hopefully that one doesn't rattle. I've had other lasko products before & they've held up well over the years.Update: the new one doesn't rattle and it's been almost half a year that I've been using it without issue. I'd definitely recommend it.

Great fan for your pain cave or small bedroom
I picked this because it had a remote control and button operation. Bought this for my Zwift pain cave and it definitely moves air as if I’m outside dealing with a headwind when I bike. I like the noise levels on the lowest setting as it helps me fall asleep. At the highest setting, it is loud but no more than 90db, and it moves a lot of air to circulate. Only giving it 4 stars because you cannot easily detach the front grille for easy cleaning.
