Exceptionally robust construction
Easy to apply one handed, long enough for even a larger person's thigh. Nice wide strap, won't twist easily. The ratcheting lock system is freaky strong while still being easy to use. This is an excellent tool to have around

Best when needed
This is what Seal teams prefer, is what I am told, because unlike all the other formats, this ratcheting tourniquet does not require fine motor skills or much thinking...so when it hits the fan, and all hell is breaking loose, this is product that I carry. And remember, two is one, one is none.

One of the best new products out there.
One of the best new products out there. If you usually carry a CAT or Soft-T tourniquet, then you want to add this to your go bag or med kit. Easy to use one handed, and quite frankly I would rather use this on myself than one of the other two. I just wish they had a better carrying pouch that would fit on a duty or battle belt. Something with a blade-tech attachment would be great, but until they make one, I just carry it in my EDC bag. It is obviously more expensive than some of the other tourniquets out there, but well worth it. Just note that once this thing is clicked down, it will not release easily. You have to really pull up on the release mechanism before this thing will loosen, so if you practice with this you will have some numbness for a while until you learn how to release it quicker. But once you learn how to quickly get it on and off, then this will soon replace all the other tourniquets you carry.

Quality product. Pros and Cons to consider.
I like the ratcheting, that would be very useful for self application. There is also a loop to pull it tight with you teeth, again very useful for self application. There are two concerns that I have with it. I prefer to have clip/ hook so the TQ can be put around a limb instead of the limb through the TQ, just my preference. I have another ratchet that has that feature, the SOF-T wide also has it. This TQ is not compact. I have a holster from another company that fits it, bit it is not practical to keep on a belt. It will fit in larger BDU pockets, but that is awkward. All in all I think this is a good product. I like like to pass as much info as I can to help others make an informed choice. Be Safe out there!

I used this product at a training and found it to be superior to the products I have used before. Immediately found it on Amazon. Ordered it then.

One of the best, if NOT the best
After reviewing and trying several tactical and personal tourniquets I have to admit I really like and recommend this particular tourniquet. This tourniquet allows for quick application, simple to use with only two (2) steps, tighten the tourniquet and rachet till bleeding is controled.The one disadvantage is the size of this device. Due to the tightening mechanism it can not fold or store as tight of some of the other ones on the market, but if size and weight are not an issue this one is definitely worth the investment.
