The bedding feels itchy when you put it on the first time. I am putting it through the washing machine hopefully that will fix it. If you are looking at this thinking it will look/feel like £300 linen sheets when you get it then you might be disappointed

Big problem I have with this is that it always looks like it needs a good iron even when it has been done.It’s the material it’s made from. One slight sit on bed and wham it’s like it’s had the dog sleeping on it that badly creased.Like the colour of it does go well with our bedroom and can’t fault the stitching on it or size as it’s just the right fit for our duvet.It’s just the look it gives, makes me feel like I need to iron it again.Feels nice to sleep under so I suppose that’s good but putting a throw over the top of it makes it look that bit better during the day for myself. Takes my eyes off the creases.

This is the first time I’ve ever used linen bedding and it’s an experience. Initially it’s super rough texture and the first night I didn’t sleep at all. Also if you don’t make sure to tie the corners your duvet ends up shifting around inside the sheets which is really annoying as I’m quite a restless sleeper.The longer you have the sheets, and the more times it goes through the wash the softer it becomes.I do really like the look of these sheets as well, and the natural colour.

Upon opening it is obvious that this is a really well made duvet set. I was thrilled to find that it has a good zip across the bottom through which the duvet is inserted into it - not the often used buttons - whatever anyone says this is easier to use. The linen looks refreshingly good but is not quite as soft as a cotton duvet cover. The image of this is never quite as good after it has been washed, because we all know how linen dries, but with a good steam iron I still feel it looks good (ish).My wife has sensitive skin and she has found that she sometimes gets red patches in a morning where her face has rested on the cover, so I am thinking that we may not be suing this as much as we planned, but i like it and don't have the sensitivity problem.The pillow cases are perfectly in keeping with the cover and what I have said about washing applied to them too. (30 degrees!)This is a very well made set, which I feel is a little expensive compared to similar items in specialist bedding shops, but if you are trying for a particular effect you shouldn't allow that to put you off.I like this and am happy with it, but my wife is not as keen, but as I do the ironing, I think we are alright!

Seemed a bit scratchy when it arrived but I’m pleased to say that I washed it and it is now the soft, luxurious linen feel I was hoping for. Personally I prefer high grade cotton for the bottom sheet but, for a duvet cover & pillow cases, linen is good.I chose Sunrise yellow which is what I would call “burnt orange” in colour and I’m really pleased with it against the “forest green” feature wall in my son’s bedroom. Superb contrast and just the thing as we move into Autumn.It fits my king size duvet & “normal” pillows perfectly.

The quality is very good for this price. I love the zip that the duvet cover has. The colour is also good, it is not too boring nor too dark. This set of this colour definitely adds a little bit of chic to our bedroom.It also feels nice on the body after the first wash.Our nights will now be more comfortable with this set.Also, the stitches around the whole set are of good quality and I am under the impression this set is very durable.The packaging is very basic. It does not produce a statement / impression that it is made from French linen or inspired by French bedroom vibes.
