Look like slate, but are actually plastic.
I use these for affirmations and they are brilliant for that purpose, carefully placed all over the house. Just don't expect slate for the price but the chalk works perfectly on them.

Look good, but a little unstable
Only 5 boards were delivered instead of 6.The stands are very light weight, so would benefit from being made of a heavier wood, but the boards do the job and look good.
