Bossman Beard Pomade- Naked

This stuff is great in my mustache and beard. It really does help my unruly facial hair stay the way I brush/combed it.

This stuff really keeps your beard in shape! I definitely recommend the unsented version. However, even the unscented version still smells a bit; vaguely of wet paint. But, the smell disappears after a few minutes. I got a scented version of this one time, but didn't like the way the underlying scent mixed with the fragrance.

I was very excited to get this product as this company is known for amazing products and people on Reddit rave about them. I was extra excited to find a beard pomade as no one else makes it and the balms and oils aren't doing anything for my wild, albeit it young, beard.So far I'm liking the product and the hold, although not perfect, is certainly way better than anything I've tried so far. I'll list some pros and cons below:Pros-Fantastic hold. Does not seem to get everything in order but it made quite the difference!-Stays strong and does not dry out even after the day is done. People are also correct, brushing it reactivates it and get the job done again which is wonderful.-A lot of product for the price!-Water based sonit washes off your hands, and more importantly your beard, with ease!!-Easy to apply once you warm it up in your hands.Cons-OK so the naked scent was ideal as I wanted something that didn't clash if I wanted to wear cologne. I didn't expect there to be no smell... Not sure why anyone does. It says naked, essential oil free, it does not say odorless people! I fully expect some type of smell and anyone who thought differently didn't think it through. That said... The smell of the ingredients is very overwhelming and powerful. The smell stinks of a chemical type smell that does fade over time but for the first few hours is incredibly strong. This is mainly my reason for 3 stars versus 4 or 5. I attempted to apply a heavily scented balm first and then the pomade and the pomade smell was so overwhelming it covered it up instantly. Next I'm going to try pomade first then balm and, per their video, I'm gonna try beard oil too. If I cannot cover the smell up then I'm. Sadly going to leave this at 3 stars...and I really, really don't want to.-Although it blends in the beard well and brushes in nicely, it leaves your beard feeling very sticky and waxy. It's not overly bad but it's not ideal. Maybe I'm using too much, but even on my 2nd use with half as much product it still left my beard feeling off.Overall I'm happy with the product, and I'll update this when I have some more time to play around with it. I may try their scented version, but I wish they sold samples so I could try it before I buy it (scent wise).

I’m a huge fan of Bossman and continue to be. Customer service is awesome and US based. They are one of the few who make unscented and more natural products.The hold on this was perfect!! I have curly hair and finally there’s something with good hold that doesn’t make my hair straight but allowed it to be styled. Unfortunately the smell was a bit off/strong to me. I’m so thankful there were no masking fragrances but having had their other products until they expire I think this one was already expired. It was a more rancid oil smell to me which was just too much. It washes out easily and completely though.I’m super glad I tried it.

For those of crusty beards with awkward directional follicle growth.Each side of my face, my beard grows differently, and although the hot brush gets it in order, it doesn’t last. By lunchtime, my beard spring loads back to its natural unhandsome positions.Like many others, I’ve collected several different products. But they all lost their hold within a short time, or to oily.This product was delivered last night, and I put it in my beard, went to bed and woke up to the product still present in the morning. Just a small amount of brushing and morning beard was gone.I’m very glad about this purchase.It’s not a solid hold like hair gel or hairspray. I still have to brush my beard back to position every couple hours or so, however, I don’t need to hot brush my hair more than once a day.The only con is the smell. I purchased the unscented, but there is quite a smell. It may be a petroleum jelly smell? I’m not quite sure. Next time I’ll purchase a different flavor.My beard is not worthy of a review photo, but I do feel a lot better walking out of the house in the morning. And a little bit goes a long way, don’t overdo it.
