Q: Is there option for solid (non-flashing) lights? i cycled through but only get flashing light...no solid/constant light. must mine b defective?

Dear customer, thank you for your question! The white light(Green a/Orange a) have solid lights mode, multiple colors lights(Green/Orange) don't have this mode.

Q: Are there lights on both the front and back?

If you mean on the front and underside of the sash itself, the answer is "no." The lights are just on the side with the reflective tape. However, if you look at how the model is wearing the sash--diagonally over the shoulder--lights are visible on both the front and back as the sash goes across the back as well as the chest. The lights can be seen on a person coming and going.

Q: Where exactly is the usb charge port? Should i have to unscrew the black button cover to access it?

Dear customer, thank you for your question! The charging port is on the side of the black button, you can use the USB cable to connect the product to your computer or power bank for charging.

Q: Is there any way to check the battery charge level (other than waiting for it to totally stop lighting up)?

If there is, I'm unaware. I just tested mine up until I found out. For me, it stopped blinking halfway through my 5th walk, so I've been charging mine after 4 days. Each of my walk is close to 2 hours. When it is on the last leg, the color does change to let you know it's about to stop blinking, but when it does it doesn't take long for it to stop. Hope this helps.
