Bass love it
This thing works great I have had so many bass blow up on it in open water and in heavy grass areas. I always cut the legs on these just little making it shorter so they just don't grab the legs and also bend the hooks ever so slightly to have better hooks. So far this is my favorite frog lure

My favorite topwater lure in summer
Hollow Frog is one of my favorite topwater lures in Summer time bass-fishing in a lake covered by lily pads. Compared to Strike King KVD Sexy Frog Baits, Koppers Frogs look more real and feel more real. They are made of durable silicon plastic. Great action on the top water. I used it on the lily pad lake, and caught a few lunkers. Watching the blowup is such a great thing! I gave 5 star with no doubt.

Bass attract
I fish for bass with my buddy and my first frog was a Koppers Live Target. My buddy was big on fishing the worm, and has recently gotten into a faster fishing technique using the square bills and other diving crackbaits. When we came up on a set of lilly pads in Sandusky Bay, I tossed the frog out in the middle and worked it back to the boat. It wasn't long before the water was disturbed by a frog hammering the frog. I wish I could tell you that I caught a 10 pounder, or even wish I could tell you that I landed the fish that exploded on the frog, but my inexperience setting the hook is what cost me the catch. Needless to say, after a few missed explosions, I eventually landed my first fish while frog fishing, and since improved my hook set. Let it be known that at the time, I felt it was MY inexperience that cost me the fish, not the hooks, or the frog itself. To date, I used the frog mostly the entire summer catching solid fish, and getting bites. There are better frogs out there, but the Koppers Live Target is a solid pick. So lifelike in the paint job, and stands up to the test of durability in my opinion.

THE BEST TOP WATER FROG
So I've been focusing on top water this whole year, specifically with this 1.75" model in browm. I've used the medium size, but find that the 1.75 catches bass by the numbers AND size. Caught my personal best largemouth on this frog. I love the action and the hook up ratio. The only cons, is that the coloring comes off. Which is fine, bass still hit it. You can try painting it brown and then rubbing it off after it dries. It leaves a fuller color of brown afterwards. Proofs in the pictures.

the fact that the bait is weed less makes it perfect for punching lily pads
I punished large mouth all last summer in Maryland with the live target frog, the fact that the bait is weed less makes it perfect for punching lily pads. the only thing you have to remember with this bait is because it has a hollow body and the hooks are on top is to count to 2 before you set the hook. If you don't do this you will rip the bait right out of the fish's mouth. Resist the urge to set the hook when the fish jumps two feet out of the water and absolutely crushes the bait.

I do not normally take the time to rate any ...
I do not normally take the time to rate any of Amazon's products because they want one to write a summary of their thoughts about a product. It appears that five stars are not enough. However, I must abandon that policy to say that the Floating Frog Hollow-Body Lure will do the job. I purchased the 1-3/4 inch Green/Yellow and the larger 2.25 inch size in White/Black and Green/Yellow. I used all three on Lake Seminole during a tournament. Neither size of the Green/Yellow produced success. The 2.25 inch White lure was very successful. I caught almost 15 pounds on the lure fishing grass and hydrilla. I also lost at least three good-sized bass before I could land them. I think that the bass wanted a light color lure that day. I eventually lost the lure on a boat houseโs roof while pitching to docks. After I lost the lure I did not catch any more fish. I immediately purchased two more White/Black Koppers Hollow-Belly frog lures from Amazon to replace the one I lost.

Pretty design but poorly engineered
It's a beautiful bait but when it's fished using a braided line, the tail end sinks causing the nose to stick up in the air. This causes action problems and is virtually impossible to "walk the dog." It also fills with water, fast. I will not be purchasing this bait again.

What A Toy!
What bad can I say about this frog? Skip it across some algae plumes or lily pads and wait for the fish to bite. It's tempting and honestly, fun to "play with" as the fisherman. Skipping it across the top of the water and trying to make it look realistic is just as entertaining as the catch! Would recommend and would buy again if I lost my lure!
