She Reads Truth: Holding Tight to Permanent in a World That's Passing Away

Encouraging, uplifting, heart-touching
I decided to read this book because I just recently discovered the She Reads Truth app for my iPad and have begun the plan for reading through the Bible in a year. I wanted to know about the women behind the app.I found it a little hard to get into the book. I wasn't sure if I was going to like these two young women who were opening their lives to me, sharing their shortcomings and struggles, and at the same time lecturing me on what is permanent and worth pursuing and what is not. However, they soon drew me in with their openness, honesty, and obvious love and deep respect for God's Word. Their lives are a witness to the fact that in this world of ups and downs, uncertainty, and frankly really bad things, God and His Word are always there, always good, and will always lift you from your hurt, anxiety, despair, or whatever it is you need lifting up from. The stories of their lives illustrate the permanence of God and His Word in a world that is passing away.Although I have loved God's Word for a long time and always read it regularly, this book renewed a yearning inside to fill my mind and heart with His Word every day.As I got into the book I found it hard to put it down, and by the end I was wishing it wouldn't end. I have a new passion for God and His Word and have discovered two new sisters in Christ who are lovers of Truth and those things that are permanent.I'm eager to share this book (and the She Reads Truth app) with my best friend, my daughter and daughters in law. I recommendit for any Christian woman or anyone interested in knowing about God and the Bible.

She Reads the Truth
Perfect stories from two very strong women wanting to tell there personal stories of love, connection with other women, feeling there pain, emptiness following God is there journeys. I read a story every night, we are not a perfect in this world, but when you read these stories, which in the end are good feeling stories, it makes me feel, I want to start to join a womens group, just to listen, and support other women.

Beautiful stories, well told
This is AMAZING! It's exactly what I've been wanting to read. An exciting, inspiring story. It's not fiction, not poetry, not a self help book; more like a beautiful autobiography of a good friend whose story you've never heard but need to hear. It's beautiful and I love it. Lol, I've only read the introduction and part of the first chapter but it's so good I can hardly put it down.

If you are apart of the She Reads Truth community, then you will LOVE this book!
If you are apart of the She Reads Truth community, then you will LOVE this book! Raechel & Amanda opened up about their pasts & how God has been at work in their lives. They give tons of great advice for how to prioritize things in life. The only thing that I didn't like about the book was the fact that it jumped back & forth between Amanda & Raechel's stories, so sometimes I was confused about who's story I was reading at any given moment. But overall, it was a very enjoyable book.

I expected it to be as dull as ditchwater and to never progress past the first ...
I purchased this book only because it was going to be the focus of the next few weeks of the women's group I'm in. Moment of honesty here: I expected it to be as dull as ditchwater and to never progress past the first two chapters. When it arrived, I flipped it open, intending to browse the first few pages just to see what we were getting into. I finished it in two days. This book met me where I live, if you know what I mean. The stories of these women are different from my own, but I still found the issues that they struggled with to be completely relateable, and I found a lot of truth in these pages that I desperately needed to hear. I can't recommend it enough.

Just what my wavering heart needed
I'd had this book on my wishlist for the longest time because I was holding out the get the physical copy. For some reason, one day, I bought the ebook and I'm thankful I did. Even though it took me some time to get into reading (no thanks to a busy life that I idolize more than the One who holds all things), I thoroughly enjoyed learning about both writers' personal story and relationship with God. Being able to see everything else as temporary puts so much in perspective. As I read, I kept getting reminded of the word in Matthew to seek first His kingdom.

Amazing Book
After finding She Reads Truths website a couple years ago, I was so excited to hear these women where writing a book! Not only do these women daybin and day out reliever Gods word in such away that leaves you wanting more just like the Bible does, they keep adding more. So thankful for a book that does one thing and leads us back to the Bible, and back to Christ. From their personal lives we can see how they lean on Christ and dig deep, and as Christian woman an amazing example of how we should live. We fail, make mistakes, but always follow Christ!

One of my favorite books of all time
This book was pivotal in my faith. Raechel and Amanda share their stories so candidly and with such kindness, but yet anchor the Truth of the Gospel into each chapter. They gracefully weave the unchanging message into each of their life circumstances and boldy share God's word with the reader. It's a book I will keep on my shelf forever and will re-read every year. One of my all-time favorites, for sure!

Without a doubt my favourite book I have ever read
Without a doubt my favourite book I have ever read. Cried my eyes out reading the first chapter. A real and beautiful account of holding tight to the one permanent we have in this world.
