Wenzel Ridgeline Tent - 3 Person

When I decided to take up bicycle touring, I knew I wanted a durable but light-weight, easy-packing tent. This model by Wenzel has fit the bill admirably. While not as small as some backpacking tents, this two-pole Ridgeline offers plenty of room for 1-2 people, sets up easily, and still packs up small enough to fit on a rear rack along with my sleeping pad and other items. After several uses, I have yet to see any issues with moisture, premature wear, or the like. I expect to get many years of use out of this well-made, reasonably-price tent. (2013 review of earlier, blue model)UPDATE: After a season of bike touring, the only issue I had with the previous model of this tent was that a little water would leak in through the door zipper if it rained long enough and hard enough. Nothing major, but an annoyance nonetheless. When I saw that this updated tent included a zipper flap to mitigate the problem, I snatched it up right away, since I had been so happy with the tent otherwise. After several uses so far this season--which included a couple of rainstorms--I am happy to report that the small addition of the rain flap over the zipper did the trick... there has not been a drop of rain inside yet. As before, I am extremely satisfied with this tent and recommend it highly as a great value for the money. I owned another popular, much more-expensive tent (costing four times as much), but I recently sold it as this Wenzel Ridgeline has become my go-to tent for most trips.

I'm not a hardcore outdoors man and I've owed a few tents before in my lifetime but this one really takes the cake. It was very easy for me to pitch, installation was very easy. I almost didn't need to even ready the instructions. It fits two adults comfortably, my wife and I are both 5'9". The quality is good, breaths great, and easily fits in the included bag. The bag has enough space even for a mallet. At this price, you can't go wrong - it's a great investment. Happy camping!

The tent is easy to assemble, roomy for 2 people and their gear. Three people, umm probably not. I looked at a lot of tents and decided on this one. I don't think I will be disappointed. Hopefully we will get many more backpacking trips out of it. Only draw back, it's a little heavy for backpacking. I'm glad I have a strong husband!

Setup is a breeze. Tent breathes pretty well. It was pretty warm the week I used it and it was a bit warm but not terrible. A small tent fan would be nice just to move the air around. First night I used it, it rained something fierce. Stayed dry all night. Held up to the wind also. Nice tent for two people. Would be a bit small for 3. Also, I used my queen size air mattress and it fit. Was up to the edges, but it fit.

I purchased this tent for a scout camping trip with my son. We set it up in the living room before the trip and everything went well. When we set it up at camp, one of the fiberglass poles snapped and would not support the weight of the roof. Luckily, we had a roll of electrical tape and were able to rig up the pole to maintain the tent structure. The tent itself was good, but without a properly functioning pole, it doesn't do us much good.

Nice 3 person tent. Easy to set up even by your self. Tent has lots of ventilation and a reflective ceiling with a pouch to hold a light. Gives a nice even glow over the whole inside of the tent. The rain fly is presealed with sealer tape which is good. Could not determine if the rest of the tent seams where sealed or not so I sealed them myself. The tent covers a 7 foot by 7 foot area which makes finding and exact fit ground cloth difficult but that is very minor. I live in North East Florida and feel this tent works perfectly for my area.

If over 6' tall, you'd wanna sleep diagonally in this tent. This tent is always the heaviest item in my backpack. Even with a thick sleeping bag tucked beneath, the packed tent will fit vertically inside my 70 liter backpack.I needed a tent to accommodate my dog, too. He runs after animals at night. Two of the mesh windows are just low enough that a large dog can look outside, when standing or sitting up.After a few uses, we're pleased. The tent has acceptable durability, and good temperature control in warm and cool weather. Prone to condensation (like many tents, I Imagine).Again, it's just the size and weight of the tent that limits how far we can travel. Not good for backpacking.

I have used this tent several times. Many times it has rained and we did not get wet. I am not sure if it could fit three adults but my 120 lb golden retriever and I get on just fine in it. The flashlight thing at the top is genius. I can read books easily in the tent.It is super easy to put up, I am a small woman and I am able to put mine up with ease. I find no difference in it and my old $500 two person that I had for years.

Really nice and spacious tent for 2 persons. It is waterproof, very sturdy and easy to assemble. Comes in a little box and it is wuite easy to put it back in the original box after using it. Nice product

Quede muy contento con esta casa de campaña, se arma muy facil, tiene un tamaño muy bueno y se nota la calidad de los materiales, solo me falta probarla bajo lluvia.

Had this baby set up in less than 5 minutes. Sleeps 3 easy. Perfect size. Love it!!!!!!! Great tent

This has to be the easiest tent ever to pul up and take down. Packs away small and really light. Highly recommended.
