Ineffective and poorly made
Cheap plastic, ill fitting, poorly made. The platform floor that is supposed to slide the mouse into the bucket either came off too easily or got stuck on the edge. My husband made modifications to make it work properly. We tried, peanut butter, cheese and biscuits, but to no avail. There was plenty of poo droppings evidence that the mice were on and around this bucket, but this product doesn’t catch the mice - DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Could be better
Too many adjustments have to be made for the swing lid to work, really doesn't work well on tall containers for the "ladder" as well as not fitting on most tub opening s, perhaps made more for the American market where the diameter of the tubs are smaller. As for catching rodents so far it hasn't for me but that may just be one of those things. May work if there are lots of the pests around like a barn or shed, maybe not a loft etc.

This works! But you have to be prepared to do 5 mins of adaptions
I saw the reviews that said this was flimsy and from China. I wanted to buy an American one, but their reviews also said not genuine and flimsy and £30 more! But I liked how this worked, and knew I could not face loading and releasing a normal trap. So inspired by another review on this product that said it was fine with DIY modifications, I took the plunge. The Bucket is VERY hard to buy. You just need a round 30cm top, but nobody makes them. So I found a planter from B&Q. details in first photo. It's not as big a volume as they suggest - but WAS perfect for mice. Then I made the ladder rigid by adding a bit of cane on some ties. Attached the ladder and it snapped straight away but stayed in place and will be fixed with tape if need be. Added a 1p coin with blue tack to the underside of the black tipper . See where I put a leaf - that's where the coin needs to be ie underneath. Smeared peanut butter under yellow nose. Filled 1/3 with water. Got 2 mice first night, 4 next night. V V happy. And because its a planter and doesn't have a lip for the yellow lid to clip too, I put 2 bricks on top to weigh the yellow bit down and stop any clever mice wanting to lift the lid and get out- probs not necessary but reassured me! JOB DONE

Works a treat!!!
Arrived when it was supposed to. Small box. Requires being put together. Simple just follow instructions on the box. Now important bit for uk people. See my attached photos as to what bucket I used. Had to cut small bits out with a Stanley knife so the clips would slide on but it's the perfect fit. Did have to put weight under the flap so that it would shut as soon as the mouse drops. It's now been out 3 nights, 1st night unbaited and we have caught 4 mice.. really impressed with this simple design . Works a treat and so movable .

This product does not fit any bins
I bought this and the bin recommended to go with it in good faith. As you can see by the photo is too small to fit on the bin and falls inside. None of the 5 gallon buckets around my house fit either..

Link to bucket needed in review **UPDATE added
Ok so some time later this has not caught a single rat. The problem is where the back of the black trapdoor part is it should be flush with the rest of the lid but it isn't, it's about 1cm lower so any rat is put off walking on to bit of trap further in as the first bit is already loose and moving up and down so all in all a waste of time. See my other review for 2x rat traps that actually work. This hasn't been used to trap yet and I will update if successful or not but here is a link for a bucket I bought from Amazon that is almost perfect fit https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B016MPKG64?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsIt is quite fiddly to put together, I think the tiny notches for the vertical yellow parts need to be slightly enlarged with tip of a knife so they slot together better. Also the middle join of ladder is very flimsy and needs stabilising. I have very bright rats apparently so I'm taking this slow, I've had bucket only out on it's side for a few days with food in which they wouldn't touch at first but now are. Now I have put lid out on ground with trapdoor taped up so it won't move with food on, next will be taped lid on bucket with ladders and then when I know they are happily climbing on to lid to eat I will untape trapdoor and fingers crossed will catch some. I will update then but figured people would want to know about the bucket sooner if looking. Wish me luck......
