This guy has options. Our house is about 40 years old. We have a lot of those regular E26 sockets in the utility spaces-attic, pantry, garage and basement. These lights are any great way to update the lighting in those spaces. You have option as to how you want the light to be cast and as well as concentrated to a specific area.We have some tight spaces, like our attic where this light is ideal. There’s not many sockets up there so there’s very little light with a traditional bulb. This light screws right in like a regular bulb but functions like an led work light. I can manipulate the direction of the light to hit areas of the work space that would otherwise require an additional lighting fixture to be hauled in or flashlight or headlamp. Now that this light is up there I can switch it on and see the entire area without having to grab a flashlight.I have replaced the bulbs in all of our sockets with these. They are these best piece of lighting ingenuity I’ve come across in a long time. My wife requested them to be placed throughout the basement too. She said they are so bright and that one of these lights provides more lighting than all of the previous light bulbs combined. My wife said it’s transformed our basement from a dank dungeon to a well lit storage and laundry area.I have found that the directional lighting is perfect when working on projects in the garage. I normally have the light arranged so that it casts across the entire room. But, when I’m working on a project, I love the fact that I can move the light to focus on my task area. Again eliminating the need to haul out additional lighting.My advice would be to get enough to replace al your bulbs. You’re going to reduce your energy cost because they are led; improve your lighting without the need to hardwire more fixtures; and reduce the need for short term additional lighting for large spaces or small projects.

I bought these lights to light up my nighttime booth. These definitely light up the booth but maybe a bit too much as they gave me a headache after awhile.Pros: Easy to assemble. Easy to adjust the panels. Great lights.Cons: SUPER bright (but you could consider this a pro) :-)

this is awesome, it lights up our whole two stalls. I would recommend it.

More than adequate light and Turns on Quick as Incandescent Bulb. I like the range of motion for aiming the light, some lights are brighter but this one is bright and provides more than enough light without overwhelming your eyes.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this for my unfinished basement because it only has a couple of light fixtures. I have used these type of garage lights before, but never one this versatile. Instead of having just 4 adjustable panels, there are 4 spokes with 2 panels on each. This doubles the possibilities. You can adjust it so more light is directly beneath the light or tilt the panels so the light is spread out it the rest of the room. Since each spoke has 2 panels, I was able to direct a lot of light to one corner of the room that needed it the most. It's also super bright. It takes the place of half a dozen lights in my opinion.

You need to work n your garage with a light that is brighter than the sun? Well then, get one of these lights and don’t you dare look at it directly! Trust me, you will trip over things as you will be temporarily blinded by its awesomeness. It works great, warn your friends and family not to look at it directly as well, don’t go blinding grandma, m’kay?
