Too brief to even be a “summary”.
This “summary” is actually just a total of 7 pages briefly outlining the factors in the original book. It is not a summary nor does it offer insights into how and why this book is important to the field of trauma. Definitely buy the original text as this “summary” misses much of the foundations of the subject and barely mentions the research which provides the basis for it.

' I Recommend This Little Book Highly ' 1
While listening to radio 4 recently I then went on your site tobuy The Body Keeps The Score by Bessel van der Kolk. What Ieventually decided to buy was a shorter version of Mr Kolks book. This is a summary of the whole book. Because I suffer with depression and anxiety and have had panicattacks in recent years I was very interested in how Kolk had donecase studies in America of soldiers who came back from the VietnamWar and had to suffer Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Also the book has verygood analysis of a persons up bringing and how our parenting, events in ourlives and where we are born can dictate how healthy in a mental capacity ourlives become.I recommend this book highly in particular if you have suffered or are suffering withmental illness, stress, anxiety and all that is involved in feeling ill in this way.Very Helpful.Thank You.Craig
