Melt for You (Slow Burn Book 2)

So cute!
Okay, this book was too cute and I can't stop stressing enough on how Cameron & Joellen were so adorable together! Just the overall dynamics of their relationship was so easy going and swoon-worthy! They definitely start off on the wrong foot but Cam is determined to help Joellen snag the man of her dreams and maybe help her get over her insecurities along the way. They form a friendship of sorts when he teaches her how to up her game, only he realises that he's pushing her in the arms of the wrong man. The way they bickered but eventually learned to accept each other was just too cute. Cam was so perfect that I couldn't help but fan girl all over him! Seriously that man was something else entirely. I mean he was funny, callous and too sure of himself but the way he squashed all the self doubt that Joellen had immediately with just a few words was commendable. Overall, this book was lovely, delightful, unexpectedly steamy and somewhat chaotic. I am going to miss Joellen & Cam so much. Looking forward to read more of J.T. Geissinger's work

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
An amazingly well written book. Both the characters are funny and downright lovable. As perfectly described by the male lead, the female lead "can't see past her nose" & the male lead can't help but be utterly swooning. Also, for anyone who doesn't read the acknowledgements, please read it for this book.

Slow Burn Romance
Step child of the movie Ugly Truth. Cam tutors Joellen the art of sensuality but ends up falling for her. This 'falling for her' could have been shown more dramatically rather than making us take that for granted. I expected this book to be a lot more hot, given the blurb.Thoughl a decent vacay read overall for the fans of slow burn romances.

Brilliant read
It’s a beautiful story weaving together two people who are equally sassy. It’s pleasing to hear them crib, pull each other. It’s also about the fact that when people look beyond the physical appearance life surprises with a beautiful bond.At times we indulge in so much self loathing that we believe we aren’t worth the love coming our way. We feel undeserving and question every move but only when the one on other side is reassuring and not giving up is when an amazing love story begins.Happy reading

Great read
Firstly the blurb needs to be better written. I honestly didnt have too many expectations from the book. Just thought of it as a quick read based off of the blurb.But...The book is very well written. Characters are funny and insightful. The heroine "can't see past her nose", a description that the hero uses that I think is very apt. But sometimes neither can I so it wasn't a bad thing. The conversations were funny and emotional. The only part I didn't like was the holiday party bathroom scene - too cliche. But overall I really liked the book.

Still love it
I read this a while back and forgot what it was called and rediscovered it again recently. Couldn't resist reading it again. I really do love this little love story. Cam's Body positive attitude and soft lovable nature mekts my heart every time and joellens self esteem issues are so relatable. Such a sweet Romance. I only really have one thing that bugs me about this book and it is such a very small thing. No matter how Famous a Rugby player is, they never hit the Fame level of the likes of Jordan, Brady, Ronaldo. And let be clear, I am a Rugby fan & I Live in the UK and I couldn't name a Scottish rugby player. So in no way do I believe that the average American could name a Rugby player, much less recognise specific Rugby player by name. So for me, that was a bit of an unnecessary exaggeration. Rugby Fame simply isn't like that. There isn't enough money in the sport. What I did utterly love was the fact that there was an author that actually gave us a Rugby Hunk to drool over!! I Wish we could have more sports romance with Rugby players. There is so very very few! Until that time, I'll just have to revisit Melt for you again.

Absolutely amazing novel
Ugh, I never wanted this story to end. I am hopelessly in love with Cameron Mc Gregor, I mean how could any not be, he has become one of my favourite hero ❤ . I loved how this story began and ended, the slow burn in the start that made it all worth it. I liked joellen but towards the end I just wanted to hit her on the head, because she was denying herself happiness with Cam. I felt so sorry for Cam, he had to wait but still purseud joellen till she realises. Cam is so sexy and kind and beautiful, that I wanted him for myself. The way he loved joellen was fairytale like. I wanted the author to show us more of their happy ever after, I wanted to read Cam being a dad. I feel robbed of more happiness reading about their happy life dammit. The characters had soul and depth, Cam wasn't just some gorgeous hunk who growled and didn't know how to express himself. He was vulnerable too and wasn't pushy but patient. And although I liked joellen's vulnerability, I wish she had gotten brave sooner and expressed herself to Cam. And omg the banter the smart, witty back and forth arguments were amazing and exactly what made this novel so much better. This story really surprised me, so many other promising books that I started felt flat and one dimensional because, they jumped into sex too soon or the main characters were shallow and lacked human vulnerability. That's what makes a great novel, not beautiful woman and men who have no depth or difficulty in life who get together.

Disappointing.
This novel is more or less romcom Chic Lit, just without the standardised sacharine title or twee cover illustration; had I known so, I would not have purchased it.This aside, I got fed up with Joellen pretty quickly. She was supposed to be mid 30s but acted like a thirteen year old. I did like her sass and wit, but sadly the rest of her character was annoying.Cameron is unlike any Scotsman that I’ve ever known or am related to, a caricature. The Scottish Rugby Union team is the weakest of the 4 Nations, so the idea that it’s Star team mate is the worlds most famous athlete is ridiculous.I don’t think this book was really meant for the British or Irish market.

if not for the banter this would be 3 stars…
There is fabulous banter between Joellen and Cam, this is what saved this otherwise mess of a book from a 3 star rating. The story and plot was so unbelievable - I know this is fiction but, Joellen, frumpy and dense, it’s hard to see what her admirers see in her. She and Cam are such a mishmash couple, and Joellen is borderline nasty with her “confusion”. The book felt like it was written in 5 mins. But the banter is great so worth reading for that and the epilogue explaining the author’s motives and her friend EvA.

Heart warming!
This is definitely not like #1 which was laugh out loud funny with its one liners and I was worried about how slow burn it was and for that I am taking off a star.Having said this, once it got going, it was delightful and left me feeling all warm inside. Cam is a delicious hero and the perfect person to save the ugly duckling. Now quickly moving onto #3!
