SightmarkSS2000 Flashlight

Great light in addition to a smaller 200 lumen unit. Works great at mid to long range illumination. Probably could stun a bear.
This is a fairly large light but still manageable, and the 2000 lumens is intense compared to my Surefire 300 lumen light. It has two large rechargeable batteries. My unit was obviously a repack and had a yellow stickum note on it with a number "3-122" (some king of return code on how to process I'm thinking). All of the parts had been removed from original packing and simply dumped back in the box. Fortunately, nothing was damaged and it works fine. I suspect the first buyer was surprised by the use of rechargeable batteries and just sent it back (many people cannot read with comprehension these days - sigh). The batteries were not opened, hence my surmise. The unit has a 280 lumen mode, a 280 strobe mode, and a 2000 lumen mode. Use of 2000 inside the house at night in the dark is blinding even when the beam is directed at the floor down the hall. An intruder would be stunned and unable to see anything for a while. It does not have a narrow beam nor a flood type beam, but rather is in between these. It is solidly built and could be used as a club with no damage to it.

Superior light at a fantastic price
I have 15 years on the street and have used several lights from the well known major light manufactures out there. I needed a new light which could put a high volume of light down range. I've used this flashlight for the better part of 3 months now. I did not immediately post a review as I wanted to test it. For this price, this flashlight is the best bang for your buck. I have never heard of this maker until seeing them in a hunting catalog. I was intrigued by the included items in the box as well. This flashlight has some weight to it, which I like. It has a solid feel. I work overnight and you never know when this may be an impact weapon for you. I have yet to, and have no plan to, use the filters or the rifle mount. Honestly, if you mount this light to an AR you will be adding much unneeded weight. The beam strength is fantastic. I work in a city environment, so there is a lot of ambient light at night. Despite this, the beam illuminates with authority. If you work in a rural community this light will probably look like a spotlight. I am a believer that you cannot have enough light at night. This light has a twist dial to switch from high/low/strobe output. I personally like this. The clicks between each output is just enough to do by feel and not by sight. In order to carry this light I use a Safariland straight expandable baton holder. The light fits snuggly. I had to adjust my rig a bit to get the right spot because the bezel is a big large.Overall, this is a great product at an even better price. I am glad I passed on the more common light makers out there and took a chance on Sightmark. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent flashlight!!!!
Excellent product. On high power this light is excellent. I've used it in the desert in the middle of the night and it is very bright, loved it. On low power is just like any other high quality light. The product is well made and its made to last. I own over 10 flash lights for my work and when I need a bright light this is my go to light.

Excellent flashlight
Very bright and durable. Great for a go to light in dead of night (with a Springfield XD in your other hand). Highly recommend given the lumens and durability.
