simple to use
would have given 5 star rating but, case was cracked where 1 of the pieces is held in now it flops around the case. the tool does work well.

Pain in the A$$ but the only way to go...
I was looking for somewhere to tell me what adapter is needed on a 2010 Mustang. Well, its the number 7 adapter. it's really an annoying process after you are used to the ease of standard c- clamp disk brakes. To make the first turn takes allot of effort, then it's a bit easier from there. But lining it up can be difficult. I wish I could have just bought the adapter I needed instead of the whole case, but a good deal here for 21 bucks. As it was, on the second tire the adapter fell out of the tool rolled under the car, down the driveway never to be found again. In angst I used the #9 which was almost there , but kept slipping off and made thing more frustrating. So, finally done and testing produced an unGodly squeal. Disassembled again only to find that dam number seven had not rolled down the drive but had wedged itself between the rotor and dust shield just out of view under the axil !So, with the experience learned I'm glad I ponied up and got this set instead of the cube because of the force needed and the way this thing locks in place and it's just a matter of turning and not pushing and turning at the same time you'd experience with the cube. Also, just to note this set comes with 2 drivers. One left hand and one right hand. The right hand is for screwing down the caliber and left is for removing, though I'm not sure why anyone would use the left. Left and right does not mean what side of the car your working on. Luckily I started with the right one. If I'd read the directions it probably would have told me , but hey I'm a guy.

You May Not Really Need This...
I'm a pretty good mechanic, and I like to work on all my own cars...So I was replacing the worn brake pads on my Mini Cooper S Gen 2. No problem with the front brake calipers to push back in the pistons back in by hand / pry bar to get the needed clearage for the new thick brake pads to slip over the brake rotors. At the rear brakes however, which use just a single piston caliper, the brake piston would not push back in. So I looked on YouTube for instructions on change the Mini Rear Brake Pads and the mechanic in a video used a pair of needle nose pliers to key into the face of the brake piston and turn it clockwise until it did recede back into caliper after about 20 turns! He also mention this Special Brake Piston Tool Set as an alternative to using the needle nose pliers. So I tried his pliers trick on one piston and it did work! Good. But with the other 2nd rear caliper, the pliers turning trick would not work, the pisiton did not receed / push back in, and the pliers could not turn it and a few turns. The piston was stuck in place. So I ordered this Kit as it seemed to have the most adapter parts for the lowest price. When the kit arrived, I was too stupid and didn't read the instruction sheet to see how the screw handle slipped through the backplate. But to make a long story short, once I got the screw tool turning to push in the piston, the piston still would not push in and the screw handle stopped turning, even though I had the brake caliper bleed screw open to bleed out the brake fluid in the caliper when I was using the screw tool to push in the caliper! Damn.So as a last resort I detached the rear caliper from the rear brake line, and low and behold, the piston pushed right in!For whatever reason on my Mini's single piston rear brake calipers, the pistons do not like to be pushed in because of the fluid in the caliper, and just disconnecting the caliper from the brake line will let you push in the piston. It is a little messy with brake fluid spilling out of the caliper brake line screw hole (I used a rubber brake line cap to stop the bleeding at the disconnected line) but it gets the job done nicely without the need for this brake piston tool kit.So just try pushing the piston in with the brake line detached and the blled screw open before ordering the Kit.

CARTMAN - Disk Brake Tool Kit
Great product for the price. Can be used on various models. I have 3 cars and this kit is a great item to have for replacing the brake pads. Very easy to use.

Great Value
I've been using this set professionally for 2 years. They work just as well as $100+ tool truck compressors. The small kit doesn't have a reverse thread compressor for Fords.

Just what I needed!
It actually had more tools than I realized. I thought all the discs were shims, but some are needed to set calipers. Worked perfectly.

Very helpfull tools
This set is essential for doing automotive brake system repairs. Having the correct tool is critical for doing the job well, and this set will serve well. This set may not be quite as good as some of the other high dollar, name brand tools, but I know several professional technicians who use this set and are very pleased with it. They recommended it to me since I do much of my own work and this set has worked out very well. The quality of the parts is good and the set functions properly.
