It is easy for them to hold and turn on and they love to "sing" with it. There are two controls on the microphone itself - volume and echo. And even though it can be very loud, this is only when you put your mouth completely on the microphone and yell. For normal people (not 2 year olds), it's actually not a very loud microphone, even when the volume control is at its highest. The microphone for me unfortunately not that good, voice is not too loud as expected, if you are going to use it as a karaoke you wont last for a long time singing cause you need to make your voice loud or be in a quiet place or a place that can give your voice more echo like bathroom or kitchen. If alot of people are talking you wont be able to hear yourself. My niece wanted one so I ordered another one I pink and kept delaying my shipment then finally i gave up and ordered the gold one and sent it to Korea... and it doesn't work. Now I can't even exchange it or get a refund cuz it would cost more for her to ship it back and return it. 😭😭I wish it ALL worked with no problem....
