Great reading lamp for over bed
Installed both lamps quickly with no issues. Both worked as described and it is nice to be able to select 3 color temperature modes and adjust the brightness. The blue LED light of the button however is way to bright for sleeping in my opinion. I am glad there are instructions provided to cut the wire powering that to not have it on. I do like the blue LED though and it would be a nice night light before getting into bed so I might cut a hole in bottom of the unit and put in a small push button or rocker switch so the blue light can still be an option.

Worked great. I put them right on my headboard
Nice little light!

Mounted to bed frame
The wall screws are really cheap and the heads break off so I had to buy my own screws. Once installed they work great. I mounted to my bed frame.

Perfect reading lights for day/night!
I had my dad install them (electrician) and he had no trouble at all!We put one next to my chair in the corner for just the right amount of lighting to read in my chair and one behind bed.Used both yesterday and they were perfect! Not too bright, but if you prefer the soft white (traditional light bulb 💡) look vs the bright white (LED) look, both are an option. At first dad was trying to “push” the button in to change settings, I tapped it and realized it’s a gentle touch to change settings which makes it much easier when half asleep to turn it off!My dad wanted to know which direction I wanted it in, so if you don’t want the traditional look up/down or limited space, you can install it in any direction you prefer! The only thing that may bother others that I, personally like is the blue circle lighting the switch for easy finding in the dark. It may be bright for others, but was not bright like a night light. So for those who like complete darkness, they may not like the light. However, it’s blue so not bright like nightlights. I think it’s a great idea.Well thought out, excellent priced, reading light:1. Easy to install2. Doesn’t take up much space3. Snake light allows easy adjustment and when finished can be pushed flat against wall4. 3 settings to appease all preferences with both soft white (like incandescent) and day bright LED with perfect brightness (not blinding & no straining)5. Blue illuminated surround touch button for fumbling free find in the dark.6. Gently touch button to change brightness.7. Great price for a 2 pack!!I may buy more in the future if need arises!Highly recommend if you’re looking to turn off main light and just have directed reading light.

How to install a dimmer for the Blue Light
So with just a bit of electronics, I added a dimmer for the Blue Light that everyone is complaining about - now I can adjust the blue light around the touch sensor from a bright blue to just a bare hint of blue light barely visible in complete darkness but just enough to find the light button in the dark.I installed in series a 1 MegaOhm variable resistor in series with the white wire going to the sensor contacts, see the photos for details. I also moved the 5 Volt supply cable out of the side hole since I use it mounted on a wooden backing and have a through hole to run the cable through - this way that original hole for the cable is the access hole to adjust the dimmer for the blue light with a small screwdriver. Please note that soldering skills are needed - use a professional if you are not comfortable with this.Attached, the lights installed on my bed frame in one of the images.Yes, this should have been done from factory if you ask me, it's a 5 cents component and a few minutes of work to make this light really really great.

Bright as the sun but not in a good way!
All of the brightness you would ever want but not where you want it! The smallest and brightest blue light I’ve ever seen! If you need the luminescence of the sun in a small blue light, this is the lamp for you.Like many people I’m sure, I used these for lamps I installed on my headboard. The blue light to indicate where to touch to turn the lamp on however is so bright it keeps me up at night if I don’t cover it up. It’s directly above my head of course and I certainly didn’t expect that without the light even on it would cast any light on my face at all. That’s certainly not true. Not sure the picture will even do it justice but it it’s excessively bright.I’ve seen others suggest that you can clip the white wires going to the ring light to disable the indicator light but it’s a bummer I will loose that all together if I do.The lights themselves are sleek and I certainly enjoy being able to scroll through 3 light settings when needed. I would give it a higher rating if the ring light to indicate where to touch wasn’t so bright and caused me to hang something over it at night to allow me to sleep. The socks I’m using today to cover up the blue lights, kind of take away from the sleek design if you can imagine that.

Works ok but could have better control system design
Arrived on time & in good condition. Units were smaller than I had estimated which was good for what I needed.I purchased for grandkid bed when they visit. I mounted on side of bed headboard for easy to reach and adjustments for use. (See pic). The light head can be easily moved to direct the light to the desired location. So far the light head stays in place. Blue light around control button is very dim so no issue with it.There are 3 color tones & each can have light intensity adjusted from dim to bright by depressing the control button until desired light level is achieved. Releasing the button will set the intensity level for that color tone. Once set they stay at set level unless you change it.Unit it turned on by tapping the control button. Likewise color tones are changed by a tapping the control button . You have to tap through each color tone to shut unit off. This was a disappointing issue with the control system & the main reason I rated lower. Would prefer a toggle on/off switch

Functional and good looking for the money
It came securely packed, was easy to install, and it is rather easy on eye as well. Works fine right from the start. If anything could be improved, the instruction pamphlet is missing a drill bit size for the anchors. I’m sure those of us who don’t do construction on daily basis would appreciate it. Other than that all seems to be engineered thoroughly.
