Will they grow in clay soil?

I’m not sure. My plants all died and I planted them in good soil. I had 5. All dead so I never got to see what they would have looked like. Very disappointed.

How long does it take to grow into mature size of 3 ft wide?

The plants I received were very small so I’m thinking it could be several seasons till mature size ... I replanted in a larger pot until they grow then will transplant to permanent location.
