Gal Gohan Vol. 1 (Gal Gohan, 1)

It’s very interesting to read. It’s a love that can’t happen but so far. It’s sweet

Now you look at that cover and go "oh, this is going to be one of 'those' manga." And you'd be wrong.Inside that sexually charged cover of a gal girl you find a love story that is embedded in the culture of many countries, the story of a student that comes to fall for their teacher. The teacher wrestling with the emotions the student is showing them with, while suppressing their own feelings as the one that loves them is currently a student.But there's the rub 'currently', and Miku, our gal girl, points out to her sensei, Shinji, that she won't always be his student. However Shinji is still conflicted, because while this is true, he is actively working with her every day to see her graduate. So in a way, it is like he is furthering her goal of being able to date him. And further more, another girl gets added to the mix, and so begins the love triangle. What is a single male teacher roughly in his 30's to do?

Super funny, watching Yabe trying to fend off Miku’s advances (whenever he does realize that she’s making advances) is a riot. Too bad volumes 4 and 5 are not available here.

A great story, but I preferred the online translations. That's just personal preference and me being very picky. Just something about Miku's gyaru-iness wasn't quite as on the mark with the scanlation I read. Even the art was not the same as the scans - some of the line weight and shading wasn't present, which was very unexpected from an official release, and made no sense.Still, again, love the story.

Not a badly drawn manga, and it has a neat concept, but the story just sort of jumps off without much setup at all. And it's a little creepy, even for a manga, how readily the teacher buys into being hit on by a teenage girl. If you can ignore that part and ignore how flimsy the setup is, the rest of the manga is funny and well-done.
