Roger Von Oech'S Y-Ball by Creative Whack

A great addition to our collection of puzzle balls. My 15-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter each ordered one of these with their Christmas money. Even though it's very easy to put together - the pieces just click together by magnetic force - my kids enjoy taking them apart and putting them back together, as well as trying to make other shapes.

I thought this would be more entertaining than it was really. The ball is good, but it does not lend itself well to making other shapes, nor do the different balls work particularly well together. I was soon bored with it.

Got this for my magnet-mad 7yo. He played with the X-Ball more, but he had since he was 5yo. They pair well together, and make for some pretty intricate designs. The Ball of Whacks is also pretty awesome.While the cost might seem high, each piece is engineered pretty exactingly, which means no frustration from my kid, which is worth twice the price! But also, these things will provide hours of play over several years. Heck, ~I~ futz around with them once in a while, they're oddly satisfying!

This is a great toy. It was a gift given to my 7 year old son and two years later we are still playing with it and have added another Y Ball, and an X and Star Ball. It entertains the whole family. We leave out new crazy creations every morning.

Keeps my 9 year old busy for hours, he makes lots of different shapes and helps with dexterity. Highly reccomend for all ages, I got him three different magnet balls and they are fun to mix together to see what silly things you can create

Purchased these for my son who loves puzzles and it's been a huge hit. I purchased several more to give as presents and all the kids really enjoy them. Sometimes the adults like to enjoy them so much that the kids don't get to play. :)

A cool and different toy, my son first had the ball of whacks and loves this one too. I love that he can use his creativity to make different shapes and figures with this.

Bought this and the Ball of Whacks for our grandson who likes mazes and puzzles. He absolutely loved them! Played with them "constantly" for the whole two days he stayed at our house. At first enjoyed trying to build different designs with them but then got the most enjoyment out of rolling the balls across the floor and over and under objects and watching them crash and explode. Never seemed to tire in putting them back together. Intend to order the X-ball to add to his collection.
