Violet Evergarden - Collector's Edition [Limited Edition] [Blu-ray]

I purchased this new. When it arrived the bubble wrap envelope was perfect. I always open disks immediately when they arrive just in case they are damaged in the post. In its case, dirty and scratched. Bad garage sale condition. It's clearly a return and rewrap. My nearest UPS drop off is 75 miles away. It's not worth the trouble of returning. Rip off. I hope yours arrives in better shape. ---- The Anime is great. I've seen it before and wanted a copy. It's a beautiful story. The animation is gorgeous. I can't recommend it enough. I just had a bad experience here.

The show itself is nothing short of amazing. The quality and caliber of the animation and artwork for an anime series is phenomenal, Kyoto Animation really went above and beyond. They put so much care into ensuring the end result was always breathtaking every episode. Now, as for the collectors edition, I LOVE IT! The sketches on the Blu-ray cases are fantastic, and the included art book is super cool. You also get some stamps and post cards with art from the show as well. I love this CE and I've already pre-ordered the CE of The Movie as well. I also own the Limited Edition of the previous movie, Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll. FOR AMERICAN PURCHASERS- Please be aware that this is a UK import and that means the blu-ray disc themselves are region locked (Region B specifically). These discs will not function in a normal Region A Blu-ray player, you will either need a Region B player or region free Blu-ray player.

The anime itself is amazing I would totally recommend this item though I did return it for a refund because my only grip was in the photo itself it shows it has a protected sleeve but it just came in as the Blu-ray box and I'm real particular on my movie purchases but if you don't mind it not having to sleeve I would say go for it

The blu ray set came really fast. The condition was almost perfect. There was a slight tear on a protecting film but the contents were totally fine. In terms of contents its quite worth it. The artbook contains brief versions of the extras released by Kyoani. There is a glimpse to the storyboards (the original includes 3 volumes but all in Japanese); character designs, which is equivalent to the official artworks etc. In terms the quality production its not so great... The cards are fine but the paper and printing quality of the artbook could be better. Plus it didnt include some sketches. Its definitely not the same somewhat luxurious feeling as the kyoani original artbooks or dvd merch in your hands. But its your best bet since funimation limited is unattainable from now on.

I’d like to start off by saying that my review is definitely bias. First and foremost I absolutely love this show, and I wish I could experience it for a first time again. When I saw that my package arrived I was so happy that it finally arrived and since it came in earlier than expected. But it wasn’t until I opened it open and started looking at the content’s of this collector edition that I started crying. It was absolutely surreal to have the art book and an envelope with photos inside it as if taken from someone from that world. This show warms my heart so much, and if you are as big as a fan as I am, this is definitely worth it.
