Lots of light.Options for light display. Uses batteries frugally. Compact, Steady and SturdyOne point to add....the battery positioning is a bit odd. Be sure that you take note of how they are to be placed. Not obvious or logical.I use the latter in a number of dark places in the house. and under it. Itlights up closets without mounted lighting. A bargain given the value.

This little lantern is great for home use. It's very light, easy to use, small enough that it does not need a lot of space, and very bright for its size. It's great to have on hand in case of a power outage and would probably be ideal for camping.

I would buy this again in a heartbeat. The only issue I have is that the size is misrepresented in the product photos. As you can see it’s the size of my hand. I knew it was small but I didn’t know it was miniscule. That being said, it’s perfect for my needs and gives off great light.

I would have to say up front that the only real issue that i have with it is that it is too small. You would think that this is a good thing but I find that I am misplacing it when packing for camping. I am also not sold on the longevity of the plastic construction as it feels like if I drop it on something hard, it will crack or chip.Now the good...super easy to change the batteries..it takes AA types and the door on the bottom just twists right off...with some effort which keeps it from falling off or coming off through normal use. The batteries lasted in my test well longer than even and early on night would have used. I do wish that they would sell this with rechargeable batteries and a way to charge them in place. The light output is blinding bright...and will surprise you on how this light could become your main lantern at your campsite. If you need to dim it down, it comes with a dimmer setting (only two steps though). it appears to be water resistant and did float.

This light is very bright, just what we needed for working in the crawlspace under our house. At this price we might get more. The small size is actually pretty convenient for carrying or hanging.

I don’t understand all of the reviews condemning this lanterns size. Yes, it is small, but it is heavy and seems well-built and is extremely bright. I for one welcome the small stature as I really don’t need to commit a bunch of space for a lantern I’ll pull out once or twice a year when the power goes out. Simple operation by pushing the one button gives you bright, dim, or off. If you want to hang this light, you can use the large hook on the top or a smaller hook on the bottom that I suspect would work well for hanging upside down to illuminate a tent. This was one of the cheapest options for a small lantern, but I think I made the right choice and would recommend this to anyone.

Was smaller than the pictures made it look but this is a great backup lantern. I have the bigger Energizer one as well and that one certainly is brighter since it runs on D batteries but this is not bad for the size. Easy to pack, very lightweight, clips on bottom and handle on the top. Very nice light for the price.
