Beautiful Victorian style images
I really like Kanoko Egusa’s art style that reminds me of classic illustrations of Beatrix Porter. And I can still find that charming Victorian vibe in Kanoko’s coloring books. I love that there two types of images in this book too: some of them are more detailed and intricate, and some of them bigger and simpler. So you have an option. I also like that the whole book is not just a set of illustrations but a fairy tale too. The paper is thick, white as snow and very smooth. Actually, for me it’s a little bit TOO smooth. It makes the sheets almost glossy. That kind of paper works perfect with gel ink pens and markers, good with oil based and watercolour pencil, but not so good with regular pencils. But still it’s a beautiful colouring book and I can recommend you to choose it with no hesitation.

As ilustrações são lindas.
Livro lindo, com as folhas boas, a capa achei um pouco frágil porém o preço foi muito bom.

Great colouring book
The pictures are drawn beautifully. I especially like the thinner lines, as books from other artists, such as Johanna Basford, I find the lines a bit too thick sometimes. I also much prefer the paper in this book for coloured pencils which are my preferred medium. Sometimes it’s a chore colouring other books as the paper isn’t good with coloured pencils (such as those by JB, which is a real big bear of mine). This paper, although slightly thinner, takes them with ease, including layering. I’ve tried Faber Castell polychromos, Holbein, Derwent Lightfast - all colour beautifully.
