Still leaks even after using nearly full roll

Think it's OK but trying to repair pressure washer hose it didn't work for this application

Sticks to itself and nothing else.
Used it as a temp fix on a leaking cistern down pipe to a toilet while I waited for new fittings. Stretchy, sticks to itself fine but useless at sticking to the plastic pipe where it was needed. Will not buy again, cheap and rubbish.
